Edit: I came across this interesting analysis from this one guy who didn't like the season 3 premiere, and goes into why he was disappointed with it and how the villain is key to his disappointment... and not exactly the villain you're thinking of!

The villain was joke who was also hilarious then he got beaten in about 5 seconds (and at one point he was a shadow eel)

Yeah, I watched the Season 3 episodes. They were....pretty bad, in my opinion. Ignoring all the obvious PLOT HOLES, like how the hell the bad guy managed to free himself, it almost feels like they're pandering to the base TOO much. I mean, Luna only appeared in one episode in Season 2, and now she's in, like, every major episode. Also, Shining Armor and Cadence, who only appeared in the last episode, come back for this one. It feels like that was only to please the fans who liked them.

Also, why is Twilight worried about 'failing her test' if the fate of the world equestria is counting on this. Failing because she gets help is worse than the fate of equestria?

TBH I hate fandom because I think it ruins shows
EDIT: Also think of this the Crystal ponies were unable to stop the king from conquering them yet they knew the secret to stopping him

Shoey, do you even like this show?

I can never find myself disliking any episode of this show. There are eps I like more then others sure. And even admit some episodes have big flaws but I can never outright say I disliked/hated an episode. Because even among my least favorites (Mare-Do-Well and Look Before You Sleep) I do find the good parts of even those episodes and I let it outweigh the bad enough to at least call an episode decent. I'm probably too much of an optimist with this show. But yeah that's just how I've been watching it. In my eyes there is no truly 100% terrible episode

Not particularly I think the show plays to much to it's fandom and I hate fandom with a passion, also I think the 2nd season was plagued with problems

No I don't care about Homestuck
Homestuck is a fandom. Why not get pissed at that too? If anything, that's more of a fandom.
