If you think that's bad, you probably don't want to go exploring any further.

oh i'm sure I don't (i'm just waiting for pony porn basically)

Watching this while I type, as I just came back from visiting my sister in Penn State.

Oh-HO! So they DO acknowledge Peewee in this episode! ...Aww, looks like he returned lil' Peewee to his parents. Oh well... :(

Why do I get the feeling they put that in after hearing the complaints that Spike was basically kidnapping that baby phoenix? I honestly would have liked to have seen Spike keep Peewee, see what kind of relationship the two would have forged. So much for that I guess.

Actually, if the pictures are any indication, it would seem that Spike returned Peewee because he didn't know how to take proper care of it. Sucks... But it serves as nice foreshadowing.

There's Owloycious... You know, I never did agree with all the people who hated Owloycious, or Owl's Well That Ends Well. I mean, I didn't care for that episode either, but I didn't HATE it per se, or do I see any reason to hate Owloycious here, I actually rather like him.

When I heard "Spike is great", I immediately thought of Bender from Futurama. You know, while it's kind of funny when Bender acts egotistical and mean, but with Spike, I never found moments when he acted like that funny, at all, or did I really find it any good for his character, childish boy character or not.

Spike is also pretty stupid... That, I also don't like that much about Spike. Again, it doesn't help his character at all, and it REALLY makes me feel like the writers are deliberately TRYING to make us not like him whenever he acts this way. Although, I DO like Owloycious's reactions to Spike. It was cute when he fluffed himself up, and funny when he gave Spike such a deadpan expression.

It's also interesting how this might actually be the only song Spike will ever get, if you didn't count that one he sang in Spike at Your Service.

So this is the clip we've seen before, and like I said then, CONTINUITY! I can see why Meghan McCarthy said it will make sense to see this come now, given the nest episode. This will hopefully explain why Spike isn't there, though it IS kind of sucky that he doesn't get to tag along... Or maybe not, if the opening scene is any indication, he'll probably just mess things up... Though depending on the writer, ANY of the mane 6 will mess things up.

I wish Fluttershy nuzzled me like that. :'(

"Tank's not some fuzzy little bunny, he can take care of himself!" ...This would probably explain why we don't bother seeing Rainbow Dash taking care of Tank herself, or seeing her ask somepony to take care of him for her. Make me wonder if she really IS fit to raise a pet... But GOSH if they don't make a cute duo!

I like how Spike actually paid attention to what RARITY had to say. And they she gives him one of her smallest gems! XD

And there's fan favorite Gummy, not giving a buck as usual. Amazing how the fandom can go wild over a creature that does nothing. :P

Also, anyone notice they didn't bother showing Spike asking Applejack about pet-sitting Winona? I'd make a joke, but I think AJ's been through enough...

So yeah, mayhem... It actually seems like Owloycious is doing a better job trying to keep things under control than Spike, if only for a second. Also, Spike actually called them sidekicks! Wow... And Winona was trained well!

Something I didn't mention before, Spike's antagonism towards Angle and vice versa is a nice call-back to Dragonshy, although honestly, I don't blame him or anyone for hating Angel by this point. Seriously, Discord smacking him around in the previous episode was actually one of my favorite moments OF that episode!

Oh look, the CMC! I THOUGHT they'd show up in this episode! Also, I don't think I recall an episode in which Spike and the CMC actually hung out together... I wonder why, they seem like they'd be the same age, maturity-wise anyway. I hope this episode is that episode I've been waiting for!

No, Sweetie Belle, YOU'RE the cutest thing I've ever seen! Angel ain't got SHIT on you!

Spike really is pretty irresponsible, keeping Fluttershy's gem but dumping Angel on the CMC. I get the feeling he's not going to learn a lesson, if only because he's pretty careless from the start. But who knows, maybe this episode will surprise me. Actually, it's hard to know where this episode's going to end up at this point...

So Spike has successfully dumped the pet son the CMC? And they do it in exchange for a single gem? Apparently, Apple Bloom KNOWS that Spike offered to petsit Winona in exchange for a gem, but took it anyway... maybe they're up to something...? Also, apparently, they're going to use the gem to buy things they need? How's THAT going to work? That would imply that the gem is valuable, which can't be true, since gems are so freaking common, who would bother to pay for it, or if they did, who'd pay that much at all? Not to mention, Spike gave away the gem Rarity gave him. He's even more of a jerk than I gave him credit for...

Um, what? Why did he buy new ingredients? I thought he already made the batter... Maybe it went bad?

How the BUCK did a tiny little gem buy something THAT HUGE?!

...Oh crap, it's that barking pony! Nice cameo! And that nerdy pony... What's he trying to sell to Zecora?

I like how Zecora "offered" to help and took the gem just to spite Spike, and also to keep his greed down, lest suffer what happened last time... Also, is that kind of Equestrian Salvation Army equivalent? Again, who's going to want something you can just find buried in the ground just outside Ponyville? Not to mention, nopony has any problems give Spike gems to eat if they're so freaking valuable.

Wow, now Spike actually gave away a gem as a bribe? He's not as attached to those gems as I thought.

Oh, so Angel's on the train now... The train to the Crystal Empire... OH, now I get it, Spike's going to lose all of his gems, they get a whole bunch of them while at the Crystal Empire... hopefully while avoiding Twilight and co., it'd be best if they DIDN'T know about this fiasco.

DONUT JOE! Also, the CMC and Spike hanging out together! This really is "Just for Sidekicks"! XP

OH! There's the screenshot with CMC and the pets behind that treasure chest! Also, I hate to admit, but I feel no tension in this scene. I don't want Angel to reunite with Fluttershy because he's a little bitch, and I don't care if Spike gets caught because he really was in over his head from the start... Not to mention, he REALLY isn't attached to his gems at ALL of he's willing to fling them away like that, JUST so that he can avoid getting caught, because apparently looking bad isn't as important as his cake, which was the whole reason he took this job in the first place.

Wait, so why are the mane 6 sitting down and getting on the train? Is what they did in the Crystal Empire over already? I didn't think it'd be THAT short. I wonder if it really IS what they're going the next episode...

So Spike DID learn a lesson. It's just as shame he had to act kind of like a jerk and suck up to Angel of all things to do so. But at least now Angel's acting nicer now.

And the episode ends... with Spike eating his only gem. You know, it's weird, I'd see ironic endings like these in The Powerpuff Girls and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, and while I did find some of them funny, I don't really especially like it here. I don't even know why I don't like it... kind of makes this episode feel kind of... pointless. Spike learned to be more responsible, I guess... But still, most of it was just him acting like a jerk, which I don't really like.

Eh... I'll have to give this episode a think-over.

Just saw the new episode it was pretty good but
it was really a Spike episode and not a pet one or at least it seemed like it to me,wich I don't really like considering there's already been a Spike episode this season, but it was a good nonetheless

He actually jumped the question. He debated asking the audience, but decided against it.

also mare men sounds like a lame superhero group

he Hub presents a special marathon of ten back-to-back episodes of the pop culture series “My Little
Pony Friendship is Magic” culminating with an all-new episode, the “Magical Mystery Cure” (10:30-11
a.m.). In the new episode,
Twilight accidentally casts a spell that switches the Cutie Marks and destinies of all her friends. The only way she can reverse the spell is by writing her own magic.

Sounds neat-o.

The only limitations there are at the ones within the individual pony. It's been made clear that Twilight has intense magical powers, and so far, she's only been using it to study up on pre-existing spells, so it'll be neat for her to create her own unique magic.

Also, I highly doubt any given unicorn can just "create" their own magic.

Edit: It's official,
Twilight truly is going to become a "princess":

NOT SAYING THIS IS A BAD THING! Hell, it could be awesome! Really like this idea, actually. I want to see the writers get this right, since everyone is already crying foul over this.

I actually love this. I have no idea how much in the minority I will be in when the episode actually airs. But I'm going to try to avoid as much anti-Twilacorn stuff as possible. I better be reaaaaaaal careful around comment sections now :V

I fall into the group who thinks it's stupid but otherwise doesn't care

I fall in the same group as Shoey. :posh:

By the way, does that mean she's going to get married? Who is this prince?

My vote is Fancypants. :dk:
