I think you shouldn't have posted that, now everyone will see the new episode before Smasher, because he can't watch Youtube videos.

All I'll say until Saturday unless you guys are alright with talking about it now is that I really enjoyed the episode.

The focus on the normally secondary characters was well done. And I think I like Cheerilee and Big Mac even more then I did before.

I don't really mind at all actually. I almost always end up watching the episodes after everyone else anyway.

Imma gonna wait for it to actually air on the Hub to watch it. You know, being a good, loyal Brony, doesn't give into obvious leaks, watches it legally on the channel they want you to watch.

Oh, get over yourself.

Fuck feeling guilty -- I'm going to watch it early.

Since we're on a new page, here's the post for anyone who missed it: http://www.marioboards.com/index.php?topic=11331.msg690960#msg690960

I'm watching it later but I hate when they do screw-ups like this.
Anyway, I'll put comments in spoilers.

Ya know, not everyone has The Hub. Even in the US. Some people can't see it when it premieres and have to use Youtube to see it.

Think of the Bronies in places outside of America. Not only can they not see The Hub they can't buy the episodes off iTunes either.

I still feel a little guilty that I saw it early. But I wasn't going to pass up the chance and wait almost 3 days to see a new episode from my favorite currently running TV Show.

Meh that's alright. I had to wait about 4 months for Season 2 to even begin. A few more days of waiting is nothing. Plus there has been a few longer breaks in the middle of Season 2 earlier as well.

I'm jealous. I'd like to get some episodes for bus rides, but iTunes isn't selling episodes in Canada yet.

Comments.
So the episode was good. Not outstanding but it did have its good moments. It was nice to see Big Mac continue on his no talking streak until he fell in love. The pet names were... Odd... But still rather entertaining. I noticed how we still haven't seen a pony kiss in the show yet though.

Jumping Jiminy EVERY TIME I BRING THIS UP, everyone gets on my case, "AHHHH, NO EVERYONE HAS THE HUB AHHH IT'S NOT FAIR THAT SOME PEOPLE CAN'T WATCH THE SHO AHHH!"

YES! I GET IT! Some people don't have/can't get The Hub.

HOWEVER!

For those of us who DO have the Hub or can watch the show through official source, they SHOULD DO THAT! If you like the show, support it!

It SUCKS that I actually have to explain this, like, shouldn't it go without saying? It's the same thing with One Piece or certain anime that is officially subtitled. If it's not legally available, sure, watch it on YouTube or download it or whatever, but if a legal alternative is available, then please, for the creator's sake, watch it that way!

Alternatively, watch the leaked version and then watch the episode again on Hub.

seriously, everyone check out the e-peen on this brat

Yes but it's the way you said it, saying that we can't be good loyal Bronies if we can't see the episode on The Hub. I understand that it's better for the show to see the episodes on The Hub. I was not defending piracy. Plenty of people who saw the episode early might still see the episode as it "premiered" on Saturday. Especially with the whole marathon thing going on.

I know that the Hub profits from us watching the show, but you don't have to act like you're a better fan if you wait.

"e-peen"? And I can't be a "brat", I'm 23.

Also, sorry if I made a smug implication the way I said it, but you know, piracy is kind of an issue that I want to avoid, and, you know, there are a lot of people who claim to be fans but don't actually watch the show on TV or Hasbro's or The Hub's website, nor do they by any of the merchandise, and I feel like, if you really like the show, the best way to say thank you is to support the show through your wallet. Those people being paid to do this, you know, and if people don't buy the show on iTunes or buy the DVDs or do anything to show Hasbro that they're willing to buy those things, then they can't continue making the show.

And yes, I know, it's not available everywhere, in fact, you can only by episodes on iTunes in America, so it's harder to show your support and I really don't know what to say for them... but for the rest of us, I urge you to pretty much do everything I said.

And I hate having to continuously say this, because I end up looking like the jerk, even though I'm trying to help the show I and everyone else loves.

One last thing: I do NOT think I'm a better "Brony" or fan just for watching it the normal way. Fuck those arrogant dickheads who think that they're somehow better than everyone else just for liking something on a certain level. I'm not like that. I don't feel like I'm superior just for watching it the legal way, that is NOT at ALL what I meant to say when I made that statement.

I understand your concern Smashgoom. But I think the show will be alright, it's already one of if not the most popular show on that Network and Hasbro's going to want to keep it running a little while. If The Hub is to be a successful network it needs the strength of it's flagship shows and Friendship is Magic is one of them. It's still a rather young station and young TV stations will be desperate to get any huge shows to attract viewers to remain stable. It's like how Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network got their start, they looked for talent to make up some good shows so that people have reason to watch their Channel.

The Fans are helping alot with this too. With buying merchandise and the like. But I'd just say to not be such a worrywart. You make it sound like you know Friendship is Magic is in danger of being canceled anytime soon if some people don't watch the show when a new episode airs on The Hub. And there's no proof of that right now. Hasbro with The Hub won't do anything drastic like Cartoon Network did with say Symbiotic Titan.

I guess I can't help but sound like a worrywart, because I've seen a lot of piracy-related videos, and one of my favorite anime/manga hasn't done so well in America, and I feel the need to help out whenever I can. I've learned from experience that the best way to show your support of the show/book/movie/etc., or the biggest thank you you can give to a show/video game/etc. is to buy it. Sometimes I'm almost tempted to buy it twice just to show how much of a fantatic I am.

...Speaking of Symbiotic Titan, you know where I can watch the show, since Cartoon Network screwed it over?

Something that bothers me about the episode:
They didn't look for the perfect pony for Cherilee. They looked for who they deemed the perfect pony and that kind of bothers me.

People who feel guilty about watching the episode early should really find some other stuff to be guilty about. There is plenty: how all your stuff is made by Chinese child labourers, the tortured animal meat you're eating, the way you're destroying the rainforest and ozone layer with daily activities/purchases etc. etc. etc. But not this. Come on.

Anyway comments:

That episode was pretty cool. Like I expected it to be. It's cool to see Big Macintosh have some lines again, though I felt too bad all but one of them were during his hypnosis. Also Sweetie Belle was the most hilarious this episode.

So that wink at the end, what does it mean? Are Big Macintosh and Cheerilee still dating or not? It could be taken both ways! It's the inception ending all over again! Aaaargh!

Comments:
I personally love episodes with minor characters, it is really fun to see how it turns out. They are usually good episodes. The episode was great, I liked it.

Well, I interpreted it as them pretending to be dating with the purpose of fooling the CMC (hence their horrified faces). They never really showed any sign of actually liking each other, though I guess their awkwardness at the picnic counts for something...

It's meant to be completely vague. I don't think this will be mentioned again in a nearby episode. This is what'd you call a good ship tease because you can't really prove that they got together or not.. In other words it's all up to interpretation.

People that like the pairing will cite that despite the Wink perhaps being a clue they were just messing with the CMC the 2 did say they were going to have the Picnic and the episode closed out as they walked off to the sunset. People that are either not that fond of shipping or don't like the pairing will cite that it was just all to get back at the fillies.

Title: It's About Time
Air Date: March 10, 2012
Summary: Twilight receives a warning from her future self and drives herself crazy with worry.

If Doctor Whooves doesn't at least appear prominently in the background, then I'm going to be very disappointed.
