No, I fell twice (one in Piranha Plant Slide, next in Maka Wuhu). And I still got a three star rating.

Oh. Still, you'd think that stuff like that would immediately drop your final ranking.
 
It doesn't. That's how lenient the ranking is. The only times I get double stars is that if I stay behind 3rd for too long.

That can happen when item abuse comes to play.
 
True, but either I'm too far ahead or I catch up quickly. 100cc is my default difficulty.

Well, once you've star ranked all the GPs, all that you can do is do multiple 50cc races so that you'd have an easier time racking up coins. By doing that, you'd hope to finish up unlocking all the non-golden kart parts.

Gold Standard, Gold Tires, and Gold Glider.

Gold Standard: Earn 10000 VR, or collect 20000 coins.
Gold Tires: Star rank every cup for every engine class, or collect 15000 coins.
Gold Glider: StreetPass 100 people, or collect 10000 coins.

You can only hold up to 10 coins per course, so in a way, just do a bunch of 50cc races, as CPUs typically are less powerful in that engine class; this, in return, means that you'd have an easier time keeping hold of your coins.

I'd also recommend playing Wi-fi races, if only to take your mind off of the fact that you're coin grinding.

-Let computers pass you, if they are close, when you notice an AI with a Blue Shell so you don't get hit by it and lose coins.
-Always get a good start so computers don't get the coins before you.
-Make sure you always have a defensive item.
-Look for the route with the most coins.

Baby Luigi, just wondering, what is your VPR? Because I'm at 4000 and literally everyone I face online now uses that glitch. (though not everyone does when I join my sister and race against 1000 VPR people, which is why I'm wondering what your VPR is )

I thought it was Versus Racing Points, but upon checking my own game it only said VR. Could've sworn I have seen it with a P somewhere. Maybe in my little sisters Dutch version of the game.

and STILL don't have the Bumble V :'(

I'll probably feel the same way about the Paraglider if I don't get it early. It'll likely be my most used glider for the combos that I have planned.

When the game is officially mine, that's pretty much what I'm hoping for. There's also the Swooper, but I'm not as interested with that glider.

On-topic, I just tried the Wuhu [Mountain] Loop glitch. Very interesting. I'll only use it for racing against CPUs and I definitely won't be a glitch spammer when I go online, though.
