Suggestions for Improvement

I could do it, but I want a mod's approval of the stars before I do too much.
 
We'll definitely keep this idea in consideration, although we may not use the stars you recolored, Lily, as they wouldn't look too well scaled down like that. Sorry for such a late response, I should've posted earlier and saved you the trouble of recoloring the stars.

Mason, myself, and the rest of the staff will be able to handle making the sprites if we do end up revamping the rank icons.

Though to be honest, I kinda like the stars we have now. But it wouldn't be too bad to have new stars, though I prefer more skins.
 
Would it be possible to get a feature that allows forwarding PMs? As in, you receive a PM, but notice the sender got the wrong person, so you can just casually forward it to the right one.

Right now, the only way to do that is by quoting, but it looks kind of awkward, as if you're replying to the person you're forwarding the PM to, even though there never was a conversation.

Depending on whether you can edit the message before forwarding or not, this might also come in handy when someone receives an unsavory PM and wants to redirect it directly to a mod.
 
I got a suggestion:

If it can be done, can there be an option to have different colored bars in the polls? For big polls it can sometimes be hard to pick them out when they are all red, but if they are all different colors, you could spot them right away.
 
Back when MarioBoards was called, "Mario Wiki Forums", I was thinking about an SSO (Single Sign On).
SSO enables users, to let's say, register on the Forums, and login on the Wiki, using their Forum Account (and/or vice versa).

Now with a separate Domain Setup, it's still possible, but users will need to re-login on the Wiki, when already been logged in on the Forums (and/or vice versa), because of the Cookies.

We at CW-Games were doing that with a IP.Board + WordPress + MediaWiki setup, it reduced Spambots on all of the 3, and increased ease for the users, as they only needed to register once, instead of trice.

Would there be anyway to add a feature that adds the ability to search through user's posts similar to the search PMs feature?
 
I don't know if you can fix it, but it'd be handy if you could get the search bar to allow you to enter words with only one letter/single-digit numbers. Right now it makes it hard to search for things like Wii U and New Super Mario Bros. 2.
 
i think there should be a custom jorge skin for the forum wtih my face plastered everywhere :dk:
 
I noticed that there's an apparent difference between the rule about duplicate threads (avoid making topics that already exist) and the notice when you post in an old thread (probably should make a new topic).

Could we have this cleared up?
 
Some of the other moderators might be able to elaborate more on this than I can, but to my knowledge, that message is there by default for all SMF forums. I'm not sure if the message is capable of being removed (probably is) as the moderators have limited access to the admin cp.
