and by the way, I don't see why small characters can't be playable, I mean they made Young Link and Tingle playable.
 
Those 2 are still bigger than toad and the babies, besides there needs to be a good army, toads fit the bill.

And Olimar is supposed to be small, so being small is not an excuse for exclusion.

I am aware it's off topic but I'm saying that size is not an issue by comparing it with Olimar being in Smash Bros.
 
Still, I can certainly see Baby Mario/Baby Luigi working

Hell they're even scaled up slightly in Baseball and they're big enough to successfully play Tennis.
 
Yeah, still I think they should work together as something unique.
 
Baby Mario can smack Baby Luigi and use him as a flaming projectile against the horde

While Baby Luigi can jump on Baby Mario and do a Mega Stomp
 
The idea of thousands of Bowser's minions being defeated by babies is very entertaining.
 
Or just think about an adenture-mode esque thing: having Baby Mario and Baby Luigi be on Bowser's side and facing off against Mario and Luigi.

A nifty idea but it would never happen. At least not an rpg anyway.

A platformer maybe but I won't hold my breath.


Mario Pinball Land is one of the most infuriating games in the entire franchise.
 
Mario Party: Island Tour is the worst Mario game I have played. The only good thing about it was the graphics, which were average for a Mario 3DS game.

Something I've noticed about Mario (it's not an unpopular opinion, but it will probably lead to some) is the order of the Mario RPGs goes like this.
1. PM:TTYD
2. M&L:BIS
3. M&L:SS
4. SPM
5. PM
6. M&L:DT
7. SMRPG
8. M&L:PiT
9: PM:SS
 
^From what I've seen of IT, it at least has normal board gameplay and fun minigames.

Unlike Mario Party Advance which has only the character personalities going for it.

But hey, unpopular opinions.
 
We need new Mario spin offs. I don't care if people say Mario is milked, I would gladly play a Mario version of every genre in existence.
