Unpopular opinions about the Mario series

Sure, motif wise: He was like Kefka. But his personality was much different than Kefka's: Mostly in that Dimentio makes insane analogies which don't make a lot of sense. Kefka has *some* moments like this (Son of a Submariner!) but most of them are in the botched original SNES translation by Woosley. Dimentio has multiple ones that are definitely more out there. Examples:

A couple of minor differences isn't going to change that he is largely an uninspired character.
In premise, perhaps, but I like his execution regardless.

It's literally the same thing. The only difference being he dies before he manages to destroy the world.

Again, the jester thing is similar, but the powers, color scheme and personality are different.

I don't think Dimentio, Geno, and Fawful should be in Mario Kart or Smash Bros.

I know this is an unpopular opinion because of all the dream rosters I see with them in it.

A 3D model version of Dimentio would just look wrong.

I think Fawful is the only one who has a chance anyways. I'd just appreciate it if the rosters for Mario Kart had more actual characters instead of making shit up like Pink Gold Peach or Baby Rosalina.

Not really all that different. They both use magic, both use silly phrases. I'll give you colour but thats not all that much.

They both do the exact same thing, pretend to be the goofy henchmen until it's revealed they are extremely psychotic (because it's supposed to be ironic) betray their bosses and try to take over/destroy the world(s)

And there are other examples too from other games like Arkham/Jester from Devil May Cry 3 or Aamon from Dragon Quest 4.

It's an extremely tired and generic cliche and to see a Mario game do that so unironically is just fucking lame.

You know what an unpopular opinion about Super Paper Mario is? Not caring about the game, whether it's good or bad.

I try dammit but it goes everywhere I do!

I'll give you this, it's at least fun to see people complain about it.

The only board in MP8 that I don't like is Goomba's Booty Boardwalk

Looks like we're on the same boat.

Or not, if you land on that damn Happening Space at the end of the board.

I liked Mario Kart 7's roster. It shows who the team sees are the most important veterans. Wiggler makes complete sense as a racer since it was in Tennis and Baseball. Shy Guy is a must for the download play feature, and I really like Metal Mario as my first game was Smash 64.

Pfft with no Baby Mario and Baby Luigi, I mean, babies are pretty friggin important no matter how everyone feels about them.

I don't think the "Secret of" levels from Super Mario Sunshine are bad levels. Just because they're difficult doesn't mean they're bad.

Wiggler and H. Queen and Metal Mario and Shy Guy and Lakitu as new fully playable racers. Not bad as a trade-off. Hoping Wiggler and H. Queen will return though.

I miss Wally though.

Unpopular opinion: I like Funky in Mario Kart Wii and I miss him and he sounds funny.

On the other hand, I don't like the FLUDD-less platforming segments in Sunshine that much.

I'm not a fan of MK7's roster but MK8's managed to be disappointing even after that so meh. At least 8 has Waluigi, an undeniably necessary character these days. I can't believe there was a MK game that included Daisy but not him.

There was the arcade games, which included Waluigi before Daisy.

I don't like the remade Cheese Land and Ribbon Road. They don't resemble the older versions at all. At least SNES Donut Plains still somewhat resembled the original.
