Unpopular opinions about the Mario series

UnPlayable games:

RPG's: all of them! (A lot of guesswork/grinding needed combined with the terrible plotlines which give Nightmares, and the such limited amount of resources and several violations of canon)
Party: 1 (Control Stick Spinning Minigames, End of Board Nightmare Cutscenes, a ton of Luck based/unfair elements), 4 (Nightmare Bowser Minigames), Advance, 9, IT, 10 (The last 3 need no explanation)
Kart: SNES (GBA has practically everything it has and more)
3D Mario: 3D(Land/World) (Linear level design, Damage is taken in the form of losing powerups and you come back after death in an unsatisfactory state)
Those are all good games.

He played Super Paper Mario, but that's it. He says that he watched Let's Plays of some of them and that they don't seem interesting.
You can't judge a game if you don't play it.

Guesswork? Each Paper Mario game has a fortune teller that spells out what you have to do (not sure about Sticker Star though). The only way Paper Mario could be easier would be if they included the Super Guide (although that would've been real useful in some of the Super Paper Mario chapters).

Grinding: Maybe during your first playthrough, plus the original Paper Mario discourages grinding since it's possible to finish battles with zero star points.

The thing is that people like me would rather not spend so much time on repetitive encounters like that.

As much as I hate grinding just like everyone else, I actually kind of like it in Paper Mario 2. I ended up learning some things that most people don't figure out.

You need to actually play the original Paper Mario before passing judgement. At first I thought it was a meh game, but then I played it and loved it. There isn't even much grinding at all. I can't say anything about TTYD since I haven't played it, but to truly judge a game, you need to play it.

Play it. It's amazing.

I can't
It hasn't been released yet

Actually I liked all the Paper Mario games
Sticker Star was the worst of the bunch but it was still a pretty good game though

But Metal Mario is just powered up Mario
The only time they appear as separate identities is in spin-offs

following that logic daisy has a personality too
