Unpopular opinions about the Mario series

Ugh, just imagine that image plastered on the walls of Bowser in the Dark World level.

Couldn't you do that with an N64 emulator?

We can but playing Super Mario 64 isn't our style

We'd prefer plastering that face all over SNES Ghost Valley 2 in Mario Kart Wii

I think if you hacked the game you could do that.

We already did that, mind you

Here's an unpopular opinion:

Shy Guy should be playable in Mario Party 10
He probably will be.

... Much to my dislike.
Why would you dislike that?
Because he's an generic enemy.

I don't believe they should be playable. (yes, even boos. as much as i love them, i'd prefer them to be non-playable)

I don't think Shy Guy will be playable in MP10, other than the classic characters playable (Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Yoshi, Toad, Wario, Waluigi), the others characters always change.

Toadette is supposed to be one of them but she got the boot. :(

What about generic old Toad and Yoshi?

They not generic enemies.

They have also established themselves as standalone characters.

So.

There.

There's strong consensus on the wiki enough for them to get their own stand-alone articles

I'm not going to elaborate why

Since when is there one special Toad and Yoshi?

How can you even tell them apart?
They're special because they allow you to take control of their bodies.

Generic enemies do, too.
But Toad and Yoshi aren't generic enemies.

I know, just pointing out that controlling a character isn't that special.

I was thinking that red Toad is the same as Captain Toad.

And the green Yoshi is also complicated to distinguish to the other green Yoshis. The early Yoshi was able to talk.

Yeah, you can even come up with an explanation that Red Toad is the same as Captain Toad, while Blue Toad is referred as Toad in 3D World.

But enough of THAT old bugger debate.

Toad, Yoshi, Birdo and Kamek are generic, but they get bonus points for being the "separate" character from their species.

I don't know how Bowser can tell Kamek apart from all the magikoopas, Kamek apparently looks to be in a high position yet he looks too similar.

Unpopular Opinion:Kamek or the Magikoopas should look different from each other.

Not sure if unpopular.

Bowser has facial recognition features in his brain that we don't have.

Kind of how crows can tell you apart from every other human, but crows can tell each other apart as well.

Humans with certain damaged aspects of their brain may not be able to recognize people by their faces.
