Pokemon X and Pokemon Y

When is it possible to get a Scyther? I know for sure what four of my pokemon will be (Chespin, Squirtle, Honedge, Tyrunt) but I'm sitting on the fence with the fifth (Fletchling) and I haven't decided on a sixth.

Since everybody says Wonder Trade is cool I might try using a random pokemon I get from it on my team. I could also ditch the idea of using Fletchling and use the Event Torchic instead.
 
Just got a Froakie with its hidden ability Protean. I will try to breed it to see if I can get a child with its hidden ability. If anyone cares enough to want one, say so here.

Btw, the Protean ability: After the Pokémon uses a move, it becomes a pure Pokémon of that type.

(I.e. if Greninja uses Extrasensory, it will become Psychic instead of Water/Dark. Could be really useful methinks.)

Comments: The last member added to my team. Shows you how much I played. First pokemon on 10/12, first hall of fame on 10/15. But this guy was a fucking beast. I couldn't remember why he felt so familiar. Then I remembered, he's like Dragonite only so much cooler. Wrecked fucking everything with acrobatics, a 110 power move without any items. It was really tough to get a Dragon type move on this guy. At around 66ish I gave up and heart scaled him Dragon Pulse. This was a fantastic decision. As the fastest member of my team he went to town on the kind old lady in the elite four's team(Dragon). Easily my second favorite Dragon, behind Hydreigon. Goodra is in last. Sorry fanboys.

Yeah. That'll work.

Normally, I run a water w/ icebeam or surfing ice type to make quick work of dragons. But that really wasn't a problem here. This thing turns Dragon Pulse, Aura Sphere, and Dark Pulse all into 100+ power moves. It is great to take on the toughest of dragons that don't know any electric attacks and might be a bit slow. Still, this monster is the coolest looking mofo out there, especially when he uses Dragon Pulse. Loved running this instead of my usual tactics.

Comments: See that Def? Ouch. I was lucky to survive one hit with this guy, especially since he learns exactly zero moves after you evolve him(Sun Stone). So I had to wait and wait and wait until I was 100% satisfied with his moves. Which was around the 7th gym. .__. His move set is pretty good. With his abilltity, fighting water types is a joke.

Their attacks heal you.

And then you use Parabolic Charge, a special move with a weakish 50 power.

Which heals you.

Then, if you were running a proper build with Rain Dance/Thunder.

The rain heals you.

So all you really gotta do is survive one hit.

Especially if you run it with Leftovers or Shell Bell.

Which heal you.

If you are familiar with this mon you will notice that something of great importance is missing from his move set. King's Shield. Without it he can't change back to shield form and be able to take hits. So I didn't use him. I didn't use him for much of the play through either. After about Lv. 45, I just felt that I REALLY FUCKING WANTED A FUCKING DUSK STONE.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH.

I ended up spending a couple of hours in Super Secret Training on the 6th mission until I got one. Then I promptly entered the Elite Four and remembered that I hadn't saved since well before victory road(Which was a joke by the way) or even the eighth gym. Oh, also he didn't know King's Shield.

So I just felt stupid and didn't use him. Which made the Champs last mon(very powerful fairy type) that much fucking harder.

I don't care about a 3DS Emulator as much as a new PokeGen revision that supports the X and Y versions.

If you haven't, go to the north boulevard, find the lumiose gallets stand, and go to the right, there's an entrance to a lobby there. Take the lift to the second floor, and I SWEAR TO SHIT IT IS THE SCARIEST THING GAMEFREAK HAS EVER FUCKING DONE, IT LIKE APPEARS BEHIND YOU, WALKING OUT INFRONT OF YOU WITH ONE LEG STRETCHED OUT INFRONT OF IT, AND SAYS SOME SCARY SHIT LIKE "YOU ARE NOT THE ONE" OR SOMETHING REALLY FUCKING SCARY ;-;

I randomly ran into Moltres, and it fled before I could even select a move.

Didn't do that stuff, but I found out that I had to take a job at the hotel in order to get in, so yeah, lol.

Anyway, I'm now heading off to the lost hotel to get some good battles going on.

i've been thinking about buying this game, but i'm not sure about it because all the other pokemon games i've played (FireRed, emerald, soulsilver, and white 2) i've never managed to beat any of them because i've always lost interest (closest i've got is getting to the island with the haunted mansion in FireRed), and i don't want to pay money for something i won't play much because i'm kind of broke

so i'm wondering, this looks kind of different from the others. do you think it's different enough that i wouldn't lose interest?
 
I'll put it this way:

It's still pokemon. But better. I think it will appeal more than other games but probably not enough for you to finish.
