Pokemon X and Pokemon Y

I fail to see why people want to buy the same game after they've already bought it just because it has some more features... It's like buying an album and buying a re-release some months later just because the re-release has a couple of new songs. I just don't get it. Yes, there are people who are too impatient to wait to buy only the third version, and that's why I say the third version should not be made at all. They should just make the two basic versions be very complete games so they don't need to make a re-release later. Spend that money, time and those ideas in the true sequels, be it a part 2 like with Black and White or the games of the next generation.

Yeah.. I never bought the 3rd ones...

That's the money-making venture of Game Freak. Have you realized that they never made one game where you can capture all Pokemon in it? I think they should do that, from a gamer's perspective, but you know, Game Freak can be pretty damn greedy at times.

tbh, now there are probably too many Pokemon to be able to reasonably catch in one game without going insane.

But, seriously, the whole point of Pokemon was to trade with other players, not to buy both games. And they're trying to make trading easier. Let's just hope the GTS gets an overhaul in X and Y. No, random person, I don't have a level 9 Reshiram, and I don't want to give you one for a Tepig.

I have a friend that has all the Pokemon collected...

But I dunno, I think they have been working better on the Third Installments so it's not just the same junk as the first installments.

I mean, B2W2 had three new gyms, ~10 new locations, and different pokemon from the originals in it, which really helped with making it more reasonable to get.

A Tepig? I WISH it was for a Tepig. The other day I was trying to find a female Magikarp at whatever level and do you know what they wanted in return? A freaking ARCEUS at level 100. The worst part is that the Magikarp the asshole was offering was at level 2. I mean, what the hell?!

ill give you a level negative two sunkern for a level a billion arceus

Only if after that you're willing to give me a level 0 Reshiram in exchange for my level 1 Rattata.

It better be a top percentage Rattata.

An authentic clone of Joey's: with 31 IVs in all its stats, like my signature says.

Joey's Rattata has at least 50 something IVs in all stats. With 252 EVs in all stats.

Because fuck limitations, I've a top percentage Rattata.

don't mean to sound stupid, can't be bothered to check, what are IVs?

Known as Individual Values, these hidden values are given to each Pokemon's stats, which include HP, Attack, Defense, Special Attack, Special Defense, and Speed. The IVs for each stat can range from a minimum of 0, to a maximum of 31, with 31 being the best IV to get. IVs affect how high a Pokemon's stat will be, and it becomes easier to find the values as the Pokemon gets closer to level 100.

For one example, a level 100 Bashful natured Trapinch will have a base Attack of 205 if its Attack IV is 0, but if Trapinch's Attack IV is 31, then its base Attack will be 236.

All Pokemon have their IVs set randomly, with a few exceptions, and the IVs also affect the way that Hidden Power will work.

Never liked IVs. I think they're a pointless way of trying to make Pokemon "unique"

They are very annoying, yes. I wish they got rid of that concept and created something else. EVs aren't that bad, though.

ivs are the epitome of annoyance,, especially if you're trying to get a hidden power work a certain type and at max damage.

Then there is our great friend pokegen which makes all this easy.

Still IV's are a general pain, evs are pretty simple though, especially with macho brace or pokerus, even both.

I hate Hidden Power. It's almost impossible to get a good one in terms of power, that even at its fullest, is still pretty lackluster. 70 isn't that great. I think they should modify it to make it always have 70 of base power, but its type should vary. That way they would make it less of a pain in the butt.

... Although I still wouldn't use it.

Pffft, that's nothing compared to Greatest Hits albums.

To add insult to injury, for places like the Battle Subway, the Pokemon there tend to always have their IVs set at 20 for most matches, but during the 7th match, it's like ALL of the opponent's Pokemon have their IVs set at 30, if not 31.

The dilemma is pretty similar in the PWT as well, except for that the Pokemon with their IVs set at 30 or 31 are mainly associated with the Pokemon Champions, while everyone else has their Pokemon IVs set at 20. All rental Pokemon have their IVs set at 20.

Obviously, without PokeGen, you're almost never going to get Pokemon like that.

Oh yes. Those are some serious swindles as well. The worst part is that they tend to add one or two new songs as an excuse for people to buy it. Lame.
