Well, I guess I should keep my hopes low for a Metroid Prime 2 stage based on Sanctuary Fortress or Torvus Bog. Can't they make a Metroid stage that doesn't have boiling lava or acid.

This has me thinking about 3 things:
Either 1. Ridley will be the next Character announced.
2. Ridley is a Stage Hazard.
3. The enemy Sakurai is something else entirely. And this may or may not follow along with the 1st one. (Considering the place the stage is set is a place you fought Ridley in Metroid: Other M. I'm not sure what the likeliness of that is however...)
However, I am unfortunately thinking the 2nd of the 3 is more likely at the moment. If I'm wrong I'll happily eat my words.

I hope Ridley does get announced as a playable character, so I can laugh at all the non-believers. Sadly, it will probably be the other way around.

Yeah it does sound weird at first glance. But there's been a contingent within the fanbase for Super Smash Bros. that's supported Ridley's inclusion ever since Melee. I can't help but feel bad for them if this is truly a sign that Ridley's deconfirmed. And even if it turns out he is a playable character and they have huge breaths of relief while hootin' and hollerin' but it'd still feel like they had the most trollish reveal ever when newcomers in Brawl all got grand reveal moments on the Dojo.

All I can say is. Whether or not this deconfirms Ridley. I feel bad for any Ridley supporters out there. Even if it turns out he's in as a playable after all. Ridley won't have the cleanest reveal ever given what was shown already. And look how the newcomers in SSB4 and Brawl were revealed. They all got grand reveals. There was no teases like this one would be if it turned out Ridley was playable.

That's ok, BMB. He doesn't like you, either. 
My problem with him being a stage hazard, though, if that's indeed what he turns out to be, is that he already was a stage hazard in an Other M-inspired stage in Dead or Alive: Dimensions.
