Can I ask why people think that after every game is released they think that "oh, new character will be revealed."

They released Peach for SM3DW 2 months before it came out to advertise, released Pikmin and Olimar to advertise Pikmin 3, Marth was added for FE: A, which was released awhile back, Luigi because of Year of Luigi, and Sonic to advertise Lost World. All of them were at least like almost a month from the game that they were advertising/promoting.

The only one that doesn't fit the bill is Toon Link, who did come out around the time that Wind Waker HD was happening, but for the most part, the majority of new games that have came out so far has not lead to new characters being released because the game is coming out.

For the most part, new characters are revealed when people least expect it to happen. So they might do the next character when we don't know it will happen.

Actually, they released Peach because it was the anniversary of the original SMB.

Actually, no. Olimar was revealed on Pikmin 3's Japanese launch and Luigi was revealed on the Japanese launch for Dream Team. Toon Link was revealed a week before Wind Waker HD and Sonic in the same month of Lost World's release. And then there's what GP said above about Peach. The only random one so far, imo, has been Marth. Then again, there was probably some anniversary for FE that I don't know about. Also I doubt Marth was revealed for FE:A considering the circumstances within the game and I'm pretty sure they'll likely put in Chrom to represent the game.

I'll give you the Olimar since I forgot Japan released it in July, but Sonic being in the same month as Lost World does not mean that it was released with Lost World.

As for Peach, yes, it was an anniversary, but I was talking about how people assume that when a new Nintendo game is out, there'll be a new character, when looking back at the other character releases, only like 1/2 have had that happen.

So yeah, how about that ray gun? Maybe the lasers will also have the ssb pattern.

Honestly it's probably my least favorite Ray Gun design.

It's not bad though.

The last time someone tried this Square-Enix almost sued them, and they probably won't give out any licenses.
