Anyway, the Skull Kid being an Assist Trophy seemed pretty obvious, since Majora's Mask is a one-time only villain. And no Zelda villain can kick Ganondorf off his throne.

Yeah for those hoping for Ghirahim, Skull Kid being a very popular one-time (Well technially there was Skull Kids in Ocarina of Time but still) villain kinda makes thing look even more grim. Coupled with the fact most already think the Zelda Franchise won't have any change in Reps from Brawl after Toon Link was confirmed.

I don't get why people wanted him playable in the first place, making a good moveset for him would be pretty much impossible. Nonetheless, I do like him, so I'm glad he's in.

Not sure about that. A deku scrub of every playable character? That'd be interesting if they did that but seems a bit like it'd take some work. (An assist trophy that temporarily changes your character's entire model)

(Still imagine Deku Scrubbing one of the more serious characters like Ganondorf or Samus xD)

It's okay to assume something big may happen to Majora's Mask, but I think it's an isolated instance. Galaxy has its own stage, so does that mean something related and big will happen?

Doesn't automatically mean this. As where's the next Barbara the Bat game or a sequel to that game for the assist trophy that's essentially just a temporary platform? xP

But it would be cool for the fans of Majora's Mask to get a remake regardless.
