Real talk though.

How are the controls gonna work for 3DS?

It'll involve me getting frustrated at my 3DS buttons for being so sticky

They'll find a way, trust me

Probably a similar scheme to the gamepad.

It's okay to assume something big may happen to Majora's Mask, but I think it's an isolated instance. Galaxy has its own stage, so does that mean something related and big will happen?

Well, that's like making an argument about Super Mario Sunshine or Wind Waker being in Brawl.

The SSB games simply cover what has happened in between them, and since SMS, TWW, etc. came out after Melee, it was included in Brawl so it could be seen; same with Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2, since the game's release date was too close to be included in SSB.

As for Majora's Mask - and the popularity for it nowadays - it was already included in SSBM and SSBB (Great Bay Coast, Kid Link (to an extent), Tingle, etc.), having such a strong and bold character from the game makes it seem like there is something important to it.

Now, I mean, I'm just excited that he's there, and I'm not being like "omg, 100% confirms this" or anything. Though, examples like Pit have showed that revival of games/series have happened before, so it'll be interesting to see what comes of it. Of course, Barbara the Bat has not made any revivals or anything like that, but I mean, that was probably just Smash including them so that they aren't completely forgot/to have more reaches of Nintendo in it.

I'm not sure. NABO, as a "competitive player", how do you feel about the circlepad?

Wouldn't quite call myself that yet.

But as someone who is aware of and attempts advanced techniques:

The circle pad will be ok. Better than a d-pad. Far worse than a GC controller. I think it might end up getting on my nerves.

Okay. "More advanced player"

Well, I wouldn't expect anything to replace the GameCube controller. It's just so perfect in everyday. I can see how the circlepad can be a problem. This is one reason I may not get the 3DS version.

I know you don't plan on getting a Wii U at all, but if you ever want to play the Wii U version, just know I'll have a copy. I'm not sure how much that game will compare to Melee and Brawl, but it should be fun.

If you want to use a Gamecube controller for SSB4. Buy one or more (If you have friends or siblings that play with you) of these.

It will connect your Gamecube controller to your Wii Remote and the Wii U will read it like it's a classic controller. All you need to do from there is apply the right controls. And you're good.

I actually heard that the adapters have very slight input lag (like 2-3 frames) from my friend. =P

Although I will say I'd rather use that adapter with very slight lag over the Wii U Pro Controller... :p

I wish I had more than 1 proper GC Controller (1 only have 1 original function controller, the others are 3rd party and stopped working LOL) though. Oh how I wish I could get things online/convince my sister to order online again. ;__;

Although I can say at a tourney it would be hassle dealing with this cause of batteries (yay for rechargables) and having to resync your controller everytime you play on a different Wii for a set. :P

Slight frame lag isn't a big deal for me. xP

I think in Project M I play with the 3-frame delay thing that's apparently used for people to try to get used to the faster gameplay of Project M all the time. So if it's something with that. That's not too much of a huge deal.

I don't remember the exact quote, but M2K once said:

"If you're not frame perfect. 99 times out of 100, you're not good enough."

If Brawl's Smashville and Hanenbow mean anything, then not always. But I doubt that anyone would've ever considered anything from Electroplankton to be playable.

It never happened with Brawl's reveals. It's just this time, people associate any reveal with anything else. Again, this time did vary (Luigi and Sonic reveals), but don't count on it.

New Steel Diver item.

Interesting. I should probably play Steel Diver at some point (it was the other launch title I was considering besides SSFIV3D back then)...wow, I can get it for less than $5.

Looks neat.

Wonder how strong that thing is. Would've been awesome if you could ride on it, but oh well.

The Super Scope from Melee is awesome, what are you talking about?

I do. Bob-ombs, Motion Sensor Bombs, Crates, Freezies, Screw Attacks, and Capsules are items I frequently use in Melee.

Oh, but those items are much stronger than those in Brawl. And Freezies make a more satisfying noise when they hit someone. You're missing out.

But Brawl also has its share of Smart Bombs and Blast Boxes.
