To be honest, just make 3DS and Wii U version have the same characters, but let the Wii U version have a SSE like mode that is even bigger than SSE.

Trophies are cool. I wish there are more original models, though. Game like WarioWare, Kid Icarus, Yoshi, and Ice Climbers can see better representation on their trophies, unlike Brawl's heavily skewed trophy distribution.

Considering the need to shit out the game as fast as possible to give the WiiU a much-needed killer-app (which, I suspect, is the real primary reason for the absence of adventure mode) and the increased time and expense of making HD-quality assets, I don't think SSB4's trophy selection is going to be much better (at least, for the WiiU version). That is, if they're even in the game at all.

No, I meant that I don't want them to rush it, otherwise we'd end up having Wi-Fi like Brawl's, and no one wants that. There shouldn't be huge clusters of lag when playing with someone else.

I read it fine. You always meant that if this game is rushed, we'll have Brawl-like online, so you don't want this game to be rushed so it can be better than Brawl's online.

I'm not saying if the game is rushed, but Glowsquid said that this Super Smash Bros. has a fairly tight deadline to meet, apparently, so if they're going to meet it, they have to do things as efficiently as possible.

I don't think that Smash Bros. 4 is going to be a buggy and lacking product (as something being "rushed" has the connotations of) but I do think the lack of story mode & all might be influenced by the need to get the game out for a certain date more than what PR care to admit.

Brawl started development in late 2005 and was released in January 2008, and that was a game rushed enough that the oft-advertised scenario mode had obvious plot holes that were left in and hurriedly handwaved on the official website. Meanwhile, if this is true and that we assume the game is released for the 2014 holidays season, SSB4 is developed on a similar timeframe, on two platforms and with the increased time and expense of creating "HD" assets. Of course, it's possible they delay into 2015.

Development for this game started in mid 2011 so I'll will be very disappointed if the Wii U version of this game is smaller than Brawl.

There's a rumor out there that Zero Suit Samus' will be shown on the 27th this month. While there's been a bunch of rumors already. This one seems odd in that it actually gave an exact date. And the person is putting their credibility on the line with only a few days until then.

I won't say anything more about it. Because it will be pointless to discuss it if Zero Suit Samus doesn't show up on the 27th anyway. But if turns out true, then the person gave a few more exact dates for returning veterans being shown. Along with one newcomer in September.

Yeah I understand that. Though it's fun to have speculations. Plus there was someone who came on Smash Boards about a week before it happened that said Sonic would be confirmed on Wednesday, October 10th in the "Sonic for Brawl" support thread. And it's fun to keep an eye in case there's the one rumor that is true even if most of the "prophets" and rumors turn out false.

Anyway although the rumor is false. I'll say what the rumor said anyway. Even if it was false

Today = Zero Suit Samus
September 19th = Palutena (As a pre-Tokyo Game Show Nintendo Direct)
September 26th = Zelda (With a Skyward Sword design)
October 12th = Lucario
October 24th = Sonic (With concept art by Kazuyuki Hoshino)
November 14th = Diddy Kong
December 3rd = Peach

Now it entirely doesn't mean that most of these could not happen at around thos times. A Pokemon character and/or Sonic is pretty much a given for October because of Pokemon X & Y and Sonic Lost World (Or perhaps Mario & Sonic Olympics 4 if they decide to have Sonic revealed in November). And that turned out true. And Diddy Kong could obviously be revealed because of Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze. And Peach in December for Super Mario 3D World.

The most doubtful is Palutena's though. I imagine we won't get any huge newcomer reveals until the next E3. But I'm fine with veteran reveals for a while now.

So, Luigi's moves don't differ much from Mario's moves. Lucas' don't differ much from Ness. Same with Fox, Falco and Wolf. That said I don't think we need another clone characters
