Ronald Reagan was the devil.

when it comes right down to it, i just cant stand the idea of living in a country ruled by a man who thinks i ought to be a second class citizen

I am so, so sick of the divide in this country. What we all need is a good person liked by both sides to rise up in the middle and help bring this country together.

That was supposed to be Obama, but the republicans fucked that up real good.

I actually think Romney could do a decent job.

The way I see it, he's completely wrong on social issues but he knows a thing or two about money.

His economic plan is going to destroy the middle class, but at this point I'm so fucking sick of the election that if America elects Romney they deserve what they get. Fuck this stupid-ass country that fell for the hate and the bigotry and the lies that the far-right propagated over the last four years. Romney's going to win, it seems pretty obvious, and after a few months everyone will hate him like they grew to hate Obama, and he'll get thrown out of office after four years, and it's not going to make a difference at all because there's no such thing as the system actually improving or changing for the better.

Both people were pretty much full of crap to begin with so it doesn't matter anyway.

USA is screwed.

i probably wouldnt have bothered otherwise

Yeah that's def an important state. Unfortunately my birthday isn't for a few more months so I couldn't vote, but Virginia's going to be a close one too.

pffff

socialized healthcare is really not something a moderate would propose

also i'm talking about someone that people would like because of something besides partisanship

whether he can and whether he will are two different things

after all the double talking he's done we really can't tell what he is going to do other than boot obama out of office

Super-rightist to get the nomination, suddenly moderate come general election time.

It's a common tactic.

But of course! Where would politics be without double-talking?

Apparently Gary Johnson is polling as high as 5% in Ohio and with fairly high percentages in other states, which I find hard to believe but a good sign if true.

Really? Politico's only got Johnson at .9% in Ohio.

Yeah, his percentage always drops on election day - this was a pre-election survey.

NBC has declared Obama to be the winner already. I'm not quite so sure but they predict Ohio went his way which is a pretty clear signal that he wins.

It's official as Ohio, Iowa, and Oregon were called towards his favor, giving him more than 270. Barack Obama will be president for 4 more years.

W00t!

Romney is actually leading in popular vote at the moment, which goes to say something about the republic system we have. I realize that the republic system worked better in previous centuries because it was nigh-impossible to accurately count every vote, but considering the modern day of connection I think we could easily switch to a popular vote system which would take power away from just voters in Ohio, Florida, etc. and give vote power back to EVERYONE.

Then again, California has 10% of its votes counted. It'll be much closer in the end, but Romney may win the popular vote anyway.

I'm sure Republicans will find this result a reasonable settlement for the 2000 election and respond calmly and resolutely.

I'm really confused. Politico has Obama's vote count at 258, while NBC and Fox News have him at 275.

Look M4E the daily show called the election for Obama and that's all that matters

They're putting Ohio for Obama already even though it isn't finalized.

Certainly. Despite the fact that I feel Al Gore would have been a terrible president, he should have won. A popular-vote system would be much more accurate and wouldn't alienate Republicans in Democrat states and Democrats in Republican states, and really would not hurt any voter.

It makes the campaign process hella more expensive though
