The Amazing Spider-Man 2

Barely actually.
 
Mysterio was cool in the animated series but the only thing I really remember him for is the one hit defeat in the Spider Man 2 game and his funhouse of doom. Also that trailer looks really good. I prefer the Green Goblin costume in the original movie though.

Spider-Man kills Gwen in the comics. The Green Goblin throws her off a building, and Spidey catches her with his web. However, this is what killed her. Spidey then blamed the Green Goblin for his grief.

Extreme whiplash. That is the biggest fail in the history of comics. I read the comic after that Green Goblin kills himself accidentally like in Spiderman 2002.

i wasn't, actually. i've never really liked spiderman. spiderman 2 was a rather good movie, but not really my favorite
 
from what the critics are saying about this movie, it's awful

apparently there are too many different plotlines or something
 
I've been hearing the same thing from critics, that they're trying to stuff too many characters and sideplots into it. However, all of my friends that have seen it say it's really good...

That's what I've heard as well, but every person I know personally who's seen it is raving about it.

Sometimes the critics can just dismiss something too easily. They aren't always right.
 
Without seeing the movie, my only complaints are:
Spider-Man's suit has a separately sewed codpiece, which looks weird in my opinion
Spider-Man's suit lacks armpit webs once again
Electro doesn't look like he does in the original comics
etc. aesthetics blahblahblah
 
i'm pretty sure electro's appearance was more derivative from how he looks in the ultimate universe, which is probably an easier appearance to adapt instead of the one with his silly mask.

the critics aren't always right but i generally seem to agree with them

anyway, my friend basically echoed their reasons on the movie having too many plotlines. he says they could have done away with like three of the plotlines and that everything is just too crowded too be coherent
 
Overloading a film with forgotten plot lines is always an issue, but unless it's on par with The Room or something, I don't see how it would ruin a movie entirely.
