Official Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Network Thread

Re: Official Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Network Thread (Believe in the Heart of the Cards)

I just played a guy using an Infernity deck. There was a lot of stalling involved but he pretty much wiped out my entire side with a spell card, then I proceeded to use the 4+ effect of my field spell (that I could only use because he put my CB in the S/T zone) to draw Rainbow Dragon and win. It seemed like he had the advantage with 4 monsters and a 3000 atk one, but I kind of threw him off with that.

Amethyst Cat is pretty helpful when an opponent is stalling for time, it can chisel at an opponent so that they're forced to quit stalling eventually.

I think it was Lightning Vortex. You Discard 1 card from your hand and destroy all face-up monsters on the opponents side. I had five monsters (Hamon + 4 Crystal Beasts) so they all were destroyed. I have a Crystal Beast Deck so it mostly just gave me more options to choose from but I can see it being devastating for a lot of decks.

I have had really good luck against Crystal Decks. If I can find a way to win befoer the Crystal Dragons are summoned, or find a way to easily destroy them, i.e. Mirror Force, I can win easily.

Crystal or Crystal Beast?

Re: Official Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Network Thread (Believe in the Heart of the Cards)

Oh. Rainbow Dragon isn't really as big of a problem as he seems. He takes a long time to summon.

Re: Official Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Network Thread (Believe in the Heart of the Cards)

Crystal Abundance and Hamon.

Crystal Abundance can leave you defenseless and give me up to five monsters. I did 7000 in one turn to the guy I dueled before using it. Hamon is a more efficient Rainbow Dragon, he's easier to summon and has the same amount of attack. His effects are more useful as well.

I think you mean Ruby Carbuncle.
Ruby Carbuncle is OP, he's out for blood and he won't stop until he gets it. Emerald Tortoise Turtle is equally as blood-thirsty, but just not on Ruby's level. Ruby is God Tier. I scrolled through the avatars. Rainbow Dragon requires 600 wins ;_;

I can duel now if anybody wants to.

Oh wow. I read Hamon. That is very powerful.

Re: Official Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Network Thread (Believe in the Heart of the Cards)

I faced a Blue-Eyes Dragon centered deck. Blue Eyes Maiden (of whatever it is called) is dangerous but I managed to make it useful. I can attack it to bring out a monster for Hamon, then kill the monster to do the 1000 points damage. This guy had me down to 1100, but I came back after he wiped out my monsters and took him down to 1100 himself in one turn (Hamon + Cat + Mammoth = 6900 damage). He gave me the material to draw two cards (two monsters luckily), summon Hamon, use Double Summon to summon those two monsters and wreck him.

I won't mention the duels I got destroyed in because those were one-sided. I very much dislike Lightsworn and Cloudian decks now.

Re: Official Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Network Thread (Believe in the Heart of the Cards)

So, I think I MIGHT finally have time to duel next week, so yay for that.

Ugh, you are now probably going to use that on me.

Also, I don't like Lightsworn decks either. I mean, most of them are surrouned around Judgement Dragon, which is pretty OP with it's "Pay 1000 LP to destroy all othher monsters", although if you have like Divine Wrath as a trap card out, that takes care of that easily.

I will give you a yay.

Yay.

Re: Official Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Network Thread (Believe in the Heart of the Cards)

Woah, Crackin and I had some epic duel. It was so seesawy. i had 5 hight leveled dragons on the field, but twice he managed to fill his Crystal Beasts on every single slot in the Monster Zone. Then he used a card, similar to Dark Hole type effect. He got 5 cards in the Monster Zone again. Used them as material for XYZ monsters. Then I used Dragon's Mirror to summon Five Headed Dragon. And after like 10 intense turns later, I managed to win.

But honestly, even if I would have lost, I would have still said it was epic. It was that intense.

Re: Official Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Network Thread (Believe in the Heart of the Cards)

So I played against someone who used to use a crystal beast deck and they told me that when a CB is face-down and attacked, it flips face up. I said 'go on' and they explained that their S/T effect activates after the damage step, a.k.a when they are face-up. I did a quick google and the first link (dueling network forums) was a post asking the question with a bunch of answers saying just that.

So now I know that I don't have to worry about placing a CB in face-down defense mode.

Re: Official Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Network Thread (Believe in the Heart of the Cards)

OK, so I was facing this one guy, and instead of admitting defeat like one should do, he did this: http://i.imgur.com/BlYYMlR.jpg

And I just let him do it, because it was perdy funny.

Re: Official Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Network Thread (Believe in the Heart of the Cards)

So I decided to get back on and actually make a themed deck.

Not sure if it's an improvement, but at least it isn't just random. :P

EDIT: It's a machine deck btw.

Re: Official Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Network Thread (Believe in the Heart of the Cards)

If anyone's available an hour from now, I'd like to duel.

Re: Official Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Network Thread (Believe in the Heart of the Cards)

I'll duel right now if anyone wants to.

Re: Official Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Network Thread (Believe in the Heart of the Cards)

I will duel someone if they are available.

I made my 60 card deck into a 40 card deck, threw away Xyz Monsters that weren't too useful and put in duplicates.

I played DF, I say he gives up too easily. Don't admit defeat until you reach 0, there's a chance you may be able to turn it around.

Re: Official Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Network Thread (Believe in the Heart of the Cards)

That last one I just miscalculated damage. But yeah, after that match, I decided to make a new deck which simplified my deck. IDK if it was the best choice though.
