Official Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Network Thread

Re: Official Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Network Thread (Believe in the Heart of the Cards)

I think I'm going crazy from lack of dueling.

I'm so dueling someone soon. (but not today I'm busy)

Re: Official Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Network Thread (Believe in the Heart of the Cards)

I won't have as much time this week as I would otherwise but if you tell me when you can play, I can try and be on to play against you.

I'm GMT+10, tell me yours and we'll see if we can figure something out.

I've concluded that if I want to play against DF it needs to be around 11am-3pm or 10-12pm. Only one of those can be done on weekdays though.

Yeah for me it is like 10:00 pm Friday night to 3:00 am Saturday morning with the same times for Saturday night to Sunday morning or whenever I do not have to get up early.

I got 100 exp and unlocked a card pattern. It looks nice.

Re: Official Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Network Thread (Believe in the Heart of the Cards)

Yeah, I was curious as to why you hadn't changed yours yet.

Re: Official Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Network Thread (Believe in the Heart of the Cards)

If anybody can duel I'd love to. I want to use my Neo-Spacian Deck now that it's more streamlined. I kept only the cards that help my goal; using Contact Fusion and keeping my Neos on the field with Neo Space/Instant Neo Space.

EDIT: I got bored and made another deck. A Synchron deck. Now I have a deck for every type of extra deck monster.

Crystal Beasts = Xyz
Neo-Spacians = Fusion
Synchron = Synchro

Though it was unintentional.

Re: Official Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Network Thread (Believe in the Heart of the Cards)

Do you know what monster if fantastic for Syncho Summon? Delta Flyer. It is a level 3 turner that can raise the level of any other monster by 1. So if you have a level 4 monster also on the field, you can have the potential for a level 7 or 8 Synchro monster such as Black Rose Dragon and Stardust Dragon.

Re: Official Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Network Thread (Believe in the Heart of the Cards)

I saw that. I have Quickdraw Synchron (Lv5), Junk Synchron (Lv3) and Unknown Synchron (Lv1) for different ways to summon. Scapegoat can give me options between Lv4-Lv9. Level Eater can also be pretty helpful.

It's a 'Synchron' Deck, not just Synchro. It's based on cards like Junk Warrior/Archer/Destroyer/Berserker, Nitro Warrior, Turbo Warrior, etc. Quickdraw Synchron can be substituted for any "*name* Synchron" card so I can use all of them while only having it. It's a weird deck, but I think it works fine. Synchro Summoning isn't very difficult with it.

Basically, Delta Flyer is a good card but I can't use it for 10/15 of my synchro summons. The only ones it can be used for is Stardust Dragon (I already have so many other ways to summon it) and Armory Arm (Which is Lv4, meaning Delta Flyer's effect is obsolete).

Re: Official Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Network Thread (Believe in the Heart of the Cards)

Ah, I see. I think I played against a Synchron 2 or 3 times. Got my butt kicked so badly.

Also, I have an urge to make A Harpy Lady deck, but I already know that there should be a good chance that it will fail among today's generation of cards.

You are so wrong. Harpie Decks are kind of common on ranked matches and they wreck me. every. single. time.

I was contemplating making one after being destroyed by them so much. Eh, there are a couple of decks I want to kind of try making.

Re: Official Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Network Thread (Believe in the Heart of the Cards)

Oh, and there's a Dragon in it. Harpie's Pet Dragon.

Also, the Lv4 XYZ monster Harpie's Pet Phantasmal Dragon is incredibly troublesome to deal with. I cannot destroy it or any other harpie's with monsters or effects and it can attack me directly with 2000 atk, both effects for three turns. If you can somehow add a Xyz Material to it using a spell card, you can take out 8000 lp easily.

The only way to counter it is to disable it's effect with your own cards. Even then, I don't always have effect disabling stuff laying around.

Also, if anyone is up for a duel I'd love to. I want to try using both my Neos and Synchron decks a bit.

Re: Official Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Network Thread (Believe in the Heart of the Cards)

Oh trust me, I am very aware of Harpie's Pet Dragon. It is more or less why I want to make a Harpy deck. But I was not aware of the XYZ card. Kind of makes me excited.

Also, I will try to duel, but I dunno if my Internet is good enough to do so.

Re: Official Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Network Thread (Believe in the Heart of the Cards)

How many people still play this? Besides DF and I. Since I barely ever play any of others or play them at all. I played VB a lot early on, I played IceMario once at some point and DF 80% of the time. Never seen the rest from the list on there before.

Which is a bummer, I enjoy playing this twice as much when it's with people on here. Something about dueling with someone once and never playing them again isn't very enjoyable. I can't really try to improve or attempt to best them if I never play them again.

Re: Official Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Network Thread (Believe in the Heart of the Cards)

NSM keeps trying to be available to play, but he is always busy. Ice maybe has lost interest, I don't really know. Same with VB. Gutseh made an account, but never did anything AFAIK.

Edit: There is also Yoshi K, which I think I played once maybe.

Re: Official Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Network Thread (Believe in the Heart of the Cards)

Eh, that blows. I guess I can understand though. I lost interest for 2 weeks a little while after I started. Then I decided to try playing in ranked matches and got a little more interested. I played against you and got a whole lot more interested. Then I started making my deck better/more streamlined and playing against you again to see if I could one-up you (It's still a 1:4 ratio of me-vs-you IMO). I remembered why I liked this game both as a kid and now.

For the record, I'm generally still interested in playing, but just haven't played in a while because of time constraints.

Thanks Crackin or helping me test my Harpie deck. I think it went very well. I won 2-1 against a NEO Elemental deck and Synchron deck. I think the heart of the deck is getting 3 Harpies, or 3 level 4 wind monsters on the field, and then XYZ summon Harpies' Pet Phantasmal Dragon. Given that, I think that I made it way to centered on summoning Stardust Dragon, which is great and all, but Phantasmal Dragon is where it is at, so I need to fix that.

Phantasmal Dragon is the Harpie Deck's best monster honestly. It can be shut down by Fiendish Chain fairly easily though, so watch out for that. A lot of people have lots of Fiendish Chain's in their deck. Me Included, it can really hinder the other person after they've summoned something awesome.

I seem to have the problem where I do a combo that uses up a lot of cards but I end up defenseless once it's gone. That is my Neos problem. My Synchron Problem is that I can only use Unknown Synchron for 5 monsters. Which means I sometimes end up with only them and can only summon a low level synchro or a really high level synchro; no in-betweens.

Eh, that is why I always have 2 or 3 Seven Tools of the bandit or Space Typhoon. Actually, come to think of it, Harpies have a lot of abilities to destroy spell and trap cards. Like, that is one of their greatest strengths.

Re: Official Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Network Thread (Believe in the Heart of the Cards)

They try to shut the opponent out from doing anything while swarming them with harpie monsters.

Yeah pretty much. Also, I never used it in our matches, but Icarus Attack is a nice support trap card that can be really devestating.
