Official Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Network Thread

Re: Official Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Network Thread (Believe in the Heart of the Cards)

My deck only has three heavy-hitter monsters aside from Xyz (Rainbow, Malefic Cyber End & Hamon) now but because I have less cards it's still just as easy to find them.

I have 20 Monsters, 15 Spells & 5 Traps. I've decided that when I play, my 'aim' is both to make it impossible for you to attack (I have 6 Xyz cards withe effects that negate attacks or make them impossible to target) and to summon Rainbow Dragon. Because I use Xyz so much which puts CB in the grave, I dropped the amount of spell cards that take advantage of having CB in my s/t zone (In exchange, 2 of my Xyz cards allow me to place cards in the grave and make getting all 7 crystal beasts to summon Rainbow so much easier).

The only weakness is that I do have an awful lot of crystal beast spell cards that lose their usage when I use CB's for Xyz summoning. Also, if you get rid of all my strongest cards and then have a 3000+ atk card, I won't have anything besides Heartlandraco to hit you with. I have two in my Extra Deck so that I can theoretically take away 8000 Life Points without having to worry about strong monsters. Still not an ideal option to resort to though.

I have a single '3 Level 10 monsters' Xyz card for that impossible but glorious moment that I may or may not have if I can summon all three of my Lv10 monsters.

Re: Official Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Network Thread (Believe in the Heart of the Cards)

Not necessarily. Malefic Cyber End Dragon actually benefits from it a lot. If I have Ancient Ruins and access to it's 3+ effect I could destroy it (alternatively I could use Dust Tornado to destroy it a lot quicker).

Skill Drain can make my deck less versatile but I've beaten 4 out of the 5 players pretty convincingly that used Skill Drain against me. Just because it ruins one of my goals (negating attacks) doesn't mean I can't reach the other one (summoning Rainbow) albeit at a slower pace.

Like I said, since I use Xyz a lot my Crystal Beasts usually end up in my grave and whether or not I can use the S/T zone effect becomes irrelevant.

Re: Official Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Network Thread (Believe in the Heart of the Cards)

Yeah I suppose that is true...

In other news, I defeated a person with an Exodia deck in one of the most epic ways. I got my opponent down where he had 6000 LP. I managed to Synchro Summon Stardust Dragon and Special Summon Montage Dragon using three Blue-Eyes White Dragon for an attack of 7200. I attacked with Montage, and he activated Mirror Force. I used Stardust's effect to tribute and negate Mirror Force and inflicted 7200 damage to him. Oh boy, that was fantastic.

Re: Official Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Network Thread (Believe in the Heart of the Cards)

I was thinking about making an Elemental Hero Neos Deck but it looked really complicated.

Re: Official Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Network Thread (Believe in the Heart of the Cards)

The heroes look silly. That's why I wanted to make an Elemental Hero Neos Deck, since it focuses more on Neo-Spacian monsters than Elemental Heroes.

Re: Official Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Network Thread (Believe in the Heart of the Cards)

Those decks can be really good once you've mastered them.

Re: Official Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Network Thread (Believe in the Heart of the Cards)

I don't want to put the effort in. Crystal Beasts was hard enough and it isn't even that difficult to get the hang of.

So I was feeling adventurous and I made a fiend deck using absolutely no research and just Yugioh instincts. It prolly sucks.
That's me and Pokémon cards.

Re: Official Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Network Thread (Believe in the Heart of the Cards)

I have maths revision to do for an upcoming test... but I'm an A-class procrastinator, who wants to duel?

Re: Official Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Network Thread (Believe in the Heart of the Cards)

I had one of the most amazing duels of my life. This duel lasted like 30 minutes and neither one of us took battle damage until the last 5 minutes. I was using my dragon deck, and he was using a Buster Blade/Dark Magician/Blue-Eyed White Dragon deck, which the goal was to fuse the Dark Magician or Buster Blade with the Blue-Eyes to create insanely powered fusion monsters that had their powers boosted dependent on how my dragons were on the feild, and worse, in my graveyard. I had so many dragons in my graveyard at one point that this one monster had 8000+ attack.

It went back and forth. He would summon powerful cards and I would destroy them using spells/traps, and vice versa, until it got to the point where I could not defeat his monsters anymore. I had one last chance to win. I drew Soul Charge, payed 2000 LP to SS 2 Blue-Eyes, XYZ summoned a monster that I could tribute any number of cards I controlled or in my hand to destroy the same number of cards in his hand. I destroyed all hour of his monsters, 3 had 4000+ attack. He raged and quit.

I am so glad I won. It got to the point that if I did something good, he would swear at me. And I a pretty sure he was swearing at me in spanish too, which is just uncool too. Screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/LHFJLoH.png

Re: Official Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Network Thread (Believe in the Heart of the Cards)

I just made a Neo-Spacian deck that has no Xyz or Synchro monsters, just fusion. I kind of want to test it out so if anyone is up for dueling tomorrow then tell me.

I want to use it a couple times and see what could be added to cover some of its weaknesses.

Re: Official Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Network Thread (Believe in the Heart of the Cards)

I should be up for whenver, just post in this Thread or PM me.

So I have some really nice Synchro monsters. I have Stardust Dragon and Black Rose Dragon, which both are musts. But I think my most useful one is Chaos King Archfiend, which switches the attack and defense of the opponent's monsters. It iis so incredibly useful for tactics of stalling with high defense, but low attack. I have won so many games from it. And then there is Blood Mefist. Once per turn, during your opponent's Standby Phase: You can inflict 300 damage to your opponent for each card your opponent controls. Each time your opponent Sets a Spell or Trap Card(s): Inflict 300 damage to your opponent. Which I have had a good success with that with Crackin's Crystal Beast Deck.

I still am if 30 minutes is not too late.

It probably is, I went back to golf so the mood's faded.

I'd say Rainbow Kuriboh was the real success that duel. Using it on a Malefic = Can't attack with any monsters. Without that little guy attaching himself the synchro wouldn't have lasted long enough to bring me lower than 6000 lp.

Re: Official Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Network Thread (Believe in the Heart of the Cards)

Oh yeah that too. That was actually the first time I have ever used Rainbow Kuriboh. Pretty successful. You can never underestimate Kuribohs.

Re: Official Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Network Thread (Believe in the Heart of the Cards)

Yeah. Want to duel? I want to try my Neos deck. I need to learn all the combos and such I can do with it.

Re: Official Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Network Thread (Believe in the Heart of the Cards)

Thanks for playing with me DF. I removed the cards that I realised weren't helping me at all. I also figured out that I really need to prioritise getting Neos on the field and doing Contact Fusions. Added another Instant Neo Space so that I can keep my fusion Neos on the field and also get a Neos back on the field if it gets destroyed.
