The Official E3 2014 Thread

Yeah, by the way I heard of it, because I wasn't there to see it, Conker has gone the way of Spyro with Skylanders.

Sunset Overdrive looks so fantastic, though. ALlmost want to get an Xbox One.

But the real news: The Sims 4 trailer featured Vampire Weekend. I got so excited when i heard that.

Sony Press Conference recap
-Little Big Planet 3 announced
-Destiny BETA
-Playstation Now
-Playstation TV
-GTA V confirmed on PS4
-The Last of Us: Remastered gets a release date

I wonder what Nintendo will announce.

Uncharted 4 announced.

So, if Uncharted 3 had similarities to Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, does that mean Uncharted 4 is going to be like Kingdom of the Crystal Skull? Especially because they hinted that it might be the last one.

Also, every time people started cheering for a remastered port, I was thinking "They wouldn't have needed to even do this in the first place if the PS4 and X1 had backwards compatibility!"

backwards compatibility would only have been possible if they'd kept the same hardware- remember PS3's launch price? that is how much keeping old system stuff for backwards compatibility costs when you're using a new processing architecture

in the case of the PS4 and Xbox One, they're using x86-64, which is PC architecture, which makes it easier for developers to create and publish games across multiple platforms

in addition, it's just plain a better method to get power out of a machine

As well as making the consumers pay more money for the same game.

Just saying...

Aww, I'm not going to be able to watch the nintendo conference live.

Oh, well. I guess I'll have to check later.
