I think the description for the items on the shopping list are the highlight for me. First I will get the more sensible ones out of the way:
- Red Mushroom (Mushroom)
- Green Mushroom (1-Up Mushroom)
- Blue Cloud (appears to be original to the fridge magnet collection)
- Rainbow (appears to be original to the fridge magnet collection)
- Red Mario (the Mario in red)

Now for the weird descriptions for some of them:
- Green Mario (the Mario dressed in green; note that the green Mario looks exactly like Mario, and lacks Luigi's differentiating characteristics)
- Yellow Question Mark (Question Block; the question mark is white, not yellow)
- Black Rocket (Bullet Bill)
- Brown Monster (Goomba)
- Blue Tortoise (Buzzy Beetle)
- Green Hole (Pipe)

And my personal favourite of the descriptions...
