Well, come to think about it, Mario isn't much better since you get Mario stoned from Mushrooms or being grossly exaggerated or being grossly realistic.

on this subject I can agree that Bowser is popular, and it doesn't have to necessarily be porn like really 80% of it is SFW so you guys can all keep your pants on and stop shitting yourselves about it existing and stop invoking Rule34 as if it's still 2006. It's pretty much because Bowser is like one of the only characters within the entire Marioverse that has a multifaceted personality which ranges from a hulking brute to the "regent of romance", combined with how he can easily be anthropomorphized without bringing too much of the furry stigma into everything. He can also be easily drawn as a heavy dude, or muscly, and that recent Kyary Pamyu Pamyu ad really made advances into a whole different field for him. Mario has nothing, Luigi has nothing, Peach is only there because Bowser is. You're only gonna find art of anyone else if that individual artist has that particular interest.

Bowser is excellent because his concept was written by his creators in such a well-rounded way that he can fit into many roles and personas and situations without breaking character, not because he's a blank slate for deviantart.com and fanfiction.net to scribble on instead of doing homework, and I guess he's well-liked by the gay audience because he's all of this stuff and all of that stuff I said in my first post.

In fact, I was sorta responding to how you said "furry stigma into everything", which is why I brought up the point that you can do this without making it NSFW. But anyhow, I'm allowed to have an opinion on this stuff, and if I'm disgusted by it, I'm allowed to say that I'm not a fan of it without others saying that if I don't like it, don't look at it. I won't actively encourage banning it or censoring stuff like that, that's plain stupid and it stifles freedom of what people can do online.

I was under the impression that all Mario characters, including Bowser, were kept vague so they could easily be used for multiple different situations.
Bowser especially, its why he goes from a bumbling, incompetent, too dumb to tie his own shoes (if he ever wore any) idiot who isn't even all that evil, to a somewhat smart king of evil who is able to threaten countries/the world/ the universe on a large scale.

Well, ignoring the ''press button to defeat me'' stuff. (since I personally feel thats largely a gameplay thing, nothing more) his most idiotic moments off the top of my head were.

the poster thing was just a joke about the art style... a poster looked identical to the real thing because its paper mario...
