If this is true, why does Mario Sport Mix has the behemoths? I know they are not from the Mario series but they make King Boo and Dry Bowser cuddly as kittens.
Because it's Square Enix.

And no, it's not really scary as much as it has a stupid-looking design and stupid music to go with it.

Now, if that Piano was playable, then you'd have something really scary.

Yet another reason why Geno and Mallow would've made far more sense.

No, id rather have a badass well known enemy then some shitty low rate characters made for a lackluster game.

Clang clang clang, it would be hilarious.

Recruitable Piano. MAKE IT SO!

That would be too original and brilliant for people at Nintendo.

But it still has more of a chance than anything exclusive to the Mario & Luigi games.

Well its not Nintendo making it but either way. You are probably right.

Petey Piranha is a boss.

I'm glad he's a boss. I was worried it would just be boom booms and koopalings the whole way through.

Any King Boo as a boss?

Unknown. Mind you I think Petey is here because he was a boss in NSMBDS. However as there are elements from non NSMB games in this as well it doesn't rule out him not appearing.

I gotta say there looks to be quite a bit of depth to this game's rpg mechanics.

You make a team of six made up of Mario and/or luigi along with various monsters or toads/yoshis etc. each character levels up and gets their own skills they can learn, you can sacrifice excess ones you aquired to boost exp as well as transforming certain creatures with items into completely new ones. for example turning a goomba into a paragoomba with P-Wings

On top of that there is a basic elemental tree, water beats fire, fire beats wood, wood beats water, and light and dark do damage to both each other. there are also many variations of Mario and Luigi based off the power-ups of the series all of which have their own skills they can learn.

I think I'll be getting a lot of mileage out of this game.

At this point I have no idea. Hopefully.

It would be nice. He's full of great things.

And helium.

I'll be honest, this looks nothing like the Mario RPGs I'm used to. Where are all the original characters? I haven't yet seen a single reference to a Mario & Luigi or Paper Mario game either. I may get it, but I'm not playing it like I play the RPGs. I'll probably classify it with the miscellaneous spinoffs.
