E3 2015 Hopes and Speculation

ANY Mario sports game sounds like a great idea to me.

I'd personally want Super Mario Spikers to be an actual thing again.

OMG, that is the name I would want for it too!

I wouldn't mind American football, but that would be a bit weird to play it Mario style.
I thought it was weird that there was a basket-ball game, Mario style. Especially after that EA basketball game with Mario, Luigi and Peach.

I'd imagine we'd accept the idea once it achieves fruition, though.

Probably. I would want the people that worked on the mario Strikers series to do the football one, since they definitely know how to make interesting tackles/attacks.

Yeah, I can't imagine anyone more for the job than Next Level Games.

Would rugby be a better game to base on? I don't know the main difference between the two, but I imagine rugby have more universal appeal, whereas American football is mainly for the Americans.

Thanks for reading.

Well, it could be two different names: Rugby in the European regions, football in the American regions. It's how in Mario Strikers, it's Mario Strikers Charged in the U.S. and Mario Strikers Charged Football in the European regions.

We have something like that in Super Mario 64 DS / New Super Mario Bros....

My sis's record was like 1,000

Well that was during a road trip so...

Now that I think about it, a Mario rugby/American football game could combine elements from both games. For one, there could be armour similar to Mario Strikers where it's still armoured but not heavily so, since rugby doesn't use them whereas American football does. Passing, I wonder if it's an issue, since I read that rugby doesn't permit passing forward. I imagine no such restriction would happen in Mario's version though.

Thanks for reading.

I did heard that Nintendo will most likely announce a Super Mario Sunshine 2 according to one report. I hope that this better be true and not some shitty lameass lie.

Well they made follow up games for Galaxy and 3D Land so I could see a Sunshine 2
