E3 2015 Hopes and Speculation

I just want Sonic to burn now. But I like to see another horrible Sonic game; it's always fun to crap all over it.

Just my personal opinion on Sonic, don't take it personally. I'm tired of seeing that hedgehog though.
I love Sonic...but he has the most obnoxious fanbase ever.

But unlike a third version or the speculated Grey which is the same game with a few changes, BW2 was a completely different game from BW.

As sad as it is, at this point I doubt SEGA will live to the next decade. Also, if Nintendo would buy out anybody it would be Capcom or a smaller company. Just saying to those who actually think they might buy SEGA.

I heard a theory that XZ and YZ might happen due to this thing with Zygarde having two forms, but I expect another third version. I doubt it would happen, but I would enjoy seeing prequels to X and Y.

Uh when was it said Sega was in huge financial trouble? They've had losses sure, but I wouldn't say they're near bankruptcy right now. They've been there when they had to quit the console buisness more then a decade ago. But now they're at the very least stable.

To answer what SMF was saying though Sega's still being careful with Sonic. Sonic's 25th Anniversery is next year not this year. They can afford to be quiet on anything Sonic through all of E3. If they have something big awaiting for Sonic's 25th they'll announce it then. Not this year, they'll also make sure to avoid the same mistakes that led to Sonic 06 and release it when it's truly ready (If you're going to bring up Rise of Lyric that's a different case altogether).

The only Sonic related game I could see happening is if they're doing the fifth Mario & Sonic Olympics for the Summer Olympics in Rio. Since that usually comes out in the year before the actual Olympics. Though with how the one for Sochi didn't perform as well the previous ones did they may stop it from there. Heck maybe they'll surprise us with a Mario and Sonic crossover that isn't an Olympic Games thing (Hey I can Dream can't I?) just for something new that could provide some interest back into the cash cow crossover that in itself is a cash cow.

I'd just be happy with more Sonic amiibo functions similar or more intuitive then the Sonic Amiibo suit in Mario Kart 8. The first time Sonic content got in what was a pure Mario game at the start. Since obviously Smash Bros. and the Olympics were made on the entire concept of a crossover.

As much as I dislike Sonic, I'm open for another type Mario & Sonic crossover, just as long as the developers know what they're doing and Mario gets to talk.

Okay, maybe I'm exaggerating a bit, but at the very least they will likely undergo changes for the worst in the upcoming years unless something is done. And I still stand by my opinion that Nintendo will likely not buy them out.

You sound like as if Sega said stuff like they'd be going Mobile permanently like Konami seems to be doing. They're putting more focus on Mobile to generate stable profit but they're not abandoning consoles. Especially in regards to Sonic.

I want no mainstream Mario platformers for a while. After Mario Maker, I mean.

Well we haven't gotten one of the open world ones on Wii U yet, and I think it's time we should. (or at least another RPG title)

Why? Isn't one 3D Mario platformer enough? There's literally no Mario Sports games in the Wii U console outside of Kart, and if one more platformer gets made, that means we will have literally 4 Mario platformers on the Wii U. Enough is enough.

That was a 3D platformer playing like a 2-D platformer. I mean a Mario game that's more like a grand and epic one like 64, Sunshine and Galaxy

I don't really what you say it is, it's a 3D platformer period. The Wii U doesn't need another Mario game that basically says, "We're sorry y'all" to the people who wanted a 3D "exploration"-based Mario platformer instead of appreciating what they got instead.

And now you're just moving goalposts. That's sad.

Don't you mean moving flagpoles?

While I wouldn't mind another "classic" 3D Mario platformer I'd rather have a sports title or Paper Mario Wii U.

Well I stand corrected knowing that there IS one Mario Sports game on the Wii U: that Mario & Sonic game.

It hardly counts since A. it's a crossover and B. it's not exactly what I was thinking about (Strikers, Baseball, Tennis, Golf, those spin-off games that have been at least since GameCube)

I don't mind though as BW2 are some of the most fun games in the series.
Those are my favourite Pokemon games, it felt like they took the world of BW and just made it so much better. Unova was my favourite to begin with but I love what they did to it and the new areas they added.

I found out my single mid-year exam is apparently the week before this so I'm in the clear to stay up all night in order to watch the Nintendo Event. Sweet.

I agree with this, pretty much.

I wouldn't mind a Mario Sports game. After all, most of them have already got some form of online so they're probably good to go on this department. Of the games, Golf seems right up my alley, but I am not expecting that game due to the somewhat recent Camelot outing. The only Mario sports game we have yet to see an online version of is the Baseball game.

Thanks for reading.

World Tour was their latest game, I don't think they're in that much hot water right now.

I would like to see a new baseball, basketball or strikers game, or an original sports title like

Football (American)
Bowling
Boxing
Wrestling
MMA
Volleyball (don't count London 2012 Olympics or Mario Sports Mix)
