While I too consider them underrated (even by me, I'll admit it!), they actually have their own merchandise in the UK Nintendo Store...

9 years, actually. For some reasons, AlphaDream put him and his brothers in Mario & Luigi: Susperstar Saga. Then, 6 years later, Nintendo realized that it was quite a good idea after all.

Well, he was put among the main characters of the Encyclopedia Super Mario Bros., so he's probably going to be more present in the future Mario games.
Nah, books are dumb!
I just hope that Nintendo will take an approach more akin to Mario kart 8 and Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam so that we know more about his personality.

did smash bros, new super mario bros. 2, new super mario bros. u, puzzles and dragons, and maryo-kratt ate suddenly stopped existing? roy koopa and his dudebros get plenty of attention recently

and besides, i wouldn't call any of the koopalings underrated barring wendy, but she kinda deserves to be hated
 
MK8 is the only one I own/like

NSMB2 was lame the rest I don't own
 
That's understandable, since Mary-o Kratt out of the list is the only one worth owning at all.

I was talking about the 9 years from Hotel Mario to Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga and then the 6 years from Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga to New Super Mario Bros. Wii. When I said "Nintendo realized it was a good idea after all" I meant to say what you said ;) .
And I am definitely happy of this decision, by the way!
 
Well Koopalings have potential to be not boring bosses.

The reason I'm not fond of them because they just seem like lazy excuses for bosses when they have unexplored potential to actually be interesting.

Couldn't agree more with what you said!
And they are easy boss, too, that you can often beat in less than a minute!
Not to talk about Larry koopa whose model and moveset is pretty much the same in all New Super Mario bros. games, they even recycled the artwork in NSMBU!
 
Meh, Smash Bros. Koopaling models are the absolute worst. You're the Koopaling fans, you can tell me all about how their proportions look like a ----ing fan mod of Bowser Jr.

I was considering puzzle/dragons but I guess it's pretty lame then?
 
I got bored really quickly of it because there's no clear way to know if someone is going to be recruited or not. As a completionist, I would try to get everything I could but everything about it is just luck.

my mom is a completionist and it really irritates me

I'm a literalist not a completionist so I only resort to "get everything" when I've beaten the game's original storyline

Roy and Lemmy look terrible and the rest are just rescaled to fit Bowser Jr.'s animation skeleton. This does look like a cheap fan model import.
