Am I the only one who is genuinely excited about the game? It's the opportunity to take a stale franchise and revive it with something out-of-the-box.

I'm far more excited for this game than Super Mario Odyssey.

It looks like a game that will do some things oh so right and some things hilariously wrong.

How can you have a twisted sense of humour in the Mario universe without Daisy and the Wario Bros?

I would have been extremely hyped for this game, but Ubisoft decided to go conservative with the most important part of the game, the roster...

- the "Go karting with Bowser" trope
- the "Luigi wins by doing absolutely nothing"
- the "Death Stare"

Yes...but having someone like Daisy with the Rabbids would have been more fresh and exciting to see...instead we are going to see lame, outdated humour and gag-references which don't mash well with vanilla characters like Peach and Yoshi.

I don't think Daisy being in it will change the humor. Rabbid humor is Rabbid humor. I don' t really see how Daisy is any different from Peach and Yoshi as far as Rabbid humor goes.

Daisy shares a lot of traits with the Rabbids which Peach and Yoshi don't. In fact, I would say that people dislike Daisy for the exact same reason why they dislike Rabbids. They are in your face and very....loud. Daisy would get along very well with them, but Ubisoft's narrow sighted take on the Mario franchise doesn't give me hope at all.

Yes, let's not talk about Mario characters in Mario games....

Anyways, I will not be buying this. Especially if it means supporting neglecting a large cast of Mario characters in another role playing game....which relies on a diverse cast of characters. Seriously these developers need to take cues from Mario Kart/Sports/Party in some respects....that sounds crazy when you think about it but a small cast like this is going to limit the games appeal.

Well, Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time, a true and real Mario RPG had The Best Concept Ever, so I wouldn't put the entire RPG series down for it for not including characters I like in it. I agree that Baby Mario and Baby Luigi would have been no-brainers though and would have been a perfect fit for this game and would totally fit with the twisted humor, being baby versions of Mario and Luigi and all. They can use Shroob Guns and....well I love them holding guns of any kind. Baby Luigi should be the Grenade Launcher user because I like blowing crap up so I want Baby Luigi to be the guy who blows crap up because Baby Luigi is my favorite character and what I'm known for. Baby Mario should probably stick with shotguns and stuff, yeah there's no shotguns in this game, they could be used for like really close encounters and stuff I think games would be in general a lot better if there were shotguns everywhere especially the double-barrel kind of them.

I know that this is a joke post, but that would be much better than what Ubisoft are actually going for. In fact, I would love for this to happen.

I legit do want Baby Mario and Baby Luigi playable, though. I want them playable in more Mario games. I mean, I know that it's just a long feverish, hallucinating dream as they have zero chance of making it in, but I can fantasize like always. I think the game would be a lot cooler if we had like a large cast of playable characters. Wario, Waluigi, Daisy, Rosalina, Baby Mario, Baby Luigi, Toad, Toadette, Birdo, Bowser Jr., Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong...they would all be fantastic choices and most of us would be happy.

But first, considering that the game is an entirely new concept, I don't mind that they stick to the basics. If the game is actually very good, then I expect more characters to come out of a supposed next installment, or even as DLC. The limited cast is not a deal breaker for me. I legit want to see how the game plays, as that's usually the thing that interests me the most. The fact that it's a co-op game excites me the most, alongside the Mario theme as I'm a huge Mario fan. Me and my twin will definitely have a blast killing Rabbids if the game turns out good.

Plus it's a crossover. Much as I dislike rabbids you can't have a Mario/Rabbids Crossover without em.

At the end, this game is skippable for me. There's Sonic Mania, Super Mario Odyssey, ARMS, Splatoon, and possibly some new cool stuff at E3 that will involve Daisy in some form. This game will probably fade away and be forgotten about very soon.
