Re: today you did things noteworthy

wait

do you mean people only apply to colleges close to where they live?

Re: today you did things noteworthy

I think for the most part, they do. I mean, my state has a program, that if completed, like I did, we get a really nice scholarship to any school in the state. So going to other colleges in other states will be more expensive. Plus, I think that a lot of colleges cost more if you are from out of the state it is in.

Re: today you did things noteworthy

yeah money's a problem

i always forget about paying for college because my family has a decent amount of money and i'm pretty sure their life goal is to get us into ivy leagues, so i just apply anywhere i can

Re: today you did things noteworthy

My family has always been poor as heck. Thank goodness for HECS or I'd never have an edumacation.

Good luck with that! I can never do good enough in the ACT for them to even consider me. Probably. Unless I take it again and miracously raise 8-10 points into the high thirties.

Re: today you did things noteworthy

Recieved a phone call asking me to attend an interview for a job I recently applied for.

I cleaned my room.

Pretty noteworthy for me, considering I never clean my room.

We did that at the start of the year :).
Our group finished within the lesson (which was about 2 hours), the other group took that double that time.

I got to squeeze an orange during that practical

A friend and I sang Bohemian Rhapsody through ever-changing Gmail statuses. It was epic, to say the least.

Re: today you did things noteworthy

Just bought 3D World at GameStop today. I actually can't recall the last time I got a game on release date, so it's been quite a while since I have, methinks.

I love how the female GameStop employees were wearing cat ears for the game, lol

I had a long chitchat with my best friend which I haven't seen her in 2 1/2 years about fond memories, psychological states, and hypothetical scenarios just like old times.

Yeah, it's wonderful reuniting with old friends. I ended up running into an old elementary school friend that I hadn't seen for 4 years at the homecoming game a few weeks ago.

As did I. Although I had pre-ordered it, so I was just picking it up. I had planned to record footage, but turns out my Roxio Game Capture fails at displaying correctly on my computer, so I only recorded my unboxing.

Re: today you did things noteworthy

o_O I got Super Mario 3D World at GameStop today as well.

Spent an hour at least playing co-op with my mom. I actually did pretty decently.

And when I played single player after mom played single player, I got farther ahead. o_O First time that's ever happened.

Re: today you did things noteworthy

My mom refuses to play video games. It's odd because what I've seen of her she's good (when I was a little kid with my first video game she beat a level for me that I had trouble on). Anyway I did get some multiplayer time with a fellow Mario nerd visiting our group home. He practically owned me. I only scored higher than him on a few levels, I guess that was because I focused too much on beating the level instead of looking for secrets.

My mom was the same way. I have a different strategy. Hers is something like, "Get as much as you can before finishing the level." Mine is more like, "Focus on finishing the level, get the stuff later."
