I'm not going to let one negative review ruin my experience. I haven't seen what makes it bad (no spoilers obviously!) and I want to wait until I 100% the game before I give my overall thoughts on it.IGN gave this game a 5/10
Apparently the game is too handholdy, the writing is poor, they changed Luigi's controls, one of the worst performing Switch games...
Yeah, plus critics have been wrong before about at least a few things. There are movies that fans loved but the critics bashed every way that they could and some of those have been some of the greatest movies ever to the fans. Reminds me of how Star Wars (in 1977) got bad reviews (or a bad review) from at least one critic before it blew up. The FNAF movie was loved by fans but critics bashed it. What critics say about whether they think something is good or not is not always objective. And then there's been other films and TV shows that critics praised like the last three Star Wars sequel movies in the mid-2010s and 2020s that they said were the best thing ever and the fans were like "Nah, this sucks."It's subjective mate. Critics can give a review different than your own. Silly thing about the internet - when it comes a game they dislike, they'll scream "paid shill" and "woke / they always give positive reviews" when it comes to positive reviews, but when it comes to games they like, suddenly negative reviews are the great evil and dislike their favorite games makes 'em evil. I loved Mario Party Jamboree, but do I have any disdain for the reviews that gave it low scores? No, I move on. Critics don't exist to restate your opinions, and critic opinions differ as much as that of players.
Um.. should we tell them? The question is, will here be a Wiggler boss fight?
GASP I don't know! I will have to see myself when I play.Um.. should we tell them?
Critics can only be wrong if you disagree with them, since they're literally just. Guys typing on Keyboards. The only time they have ever been correct is the time they praised Wario's inclusion as a playable character in Super Mario 64 DS.Yeah, plus critics have been wrong before about at least a few things.
That really reminds me-does anyone else here really miss the long bygone era of those big instruction manuals that used to come with games that told you about everything in the game and everything to do in the game and how to do it and the story of what's in the game, info about every single one of the game's enemies and bosses, etc? I miss that era. I think that era ended around 2007 or so because I noticed that's when Nintendo DS manuals started getting really short and only really outlining health and safety and the buttons and what they did and stuff, and just basic info about how to play the game. How boring.....I've been hard at work on making a custom instruction manual for Mario And Luigi Brothership and I'd like to know what you all think!
