I went to the movies today and saw Still Alice, a movie about a linguistics professor at a University who contracts Early-Onset Alzheimer’s disease. Holy hell it was powerful, I can totally see why Julianne Moore won Best Actress for it.

It really got to me because getting Alzheimer’s is pretty much my biggest fear and this movie was the full realisation of that. Would definitely recommend.
You know, I don't think I'll ever be able to see this movie unless I'm in a really specific mood. I think it'll really fuck me up, I'm pretty scared of Alzheimers too.
Yeah I feel pretty fucked up from it, but it's actually a really well done movie and a lot of research went into it; definitely one of the better films exploring the idea.

Like I've seen the effects of it first hand and the movie mirrors it so well - even the expressions in Moore's face are so reminiscent of people I've known who have had the illness. It's pretty crazy.

The Imitation Game
whoa the feels at the end of that
pretty great movie, not sure if it's as good as i'd heard tho
also lots of hot guys

The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge out of Water

Eh, think I prefer the first one, that's not to say this one was bad by any stretch of the word. I loved how it made the series' main villain an ally against a new villain (something most of you know I wish Mario would do more often) and the ending was pretty funny. I felt like it was a great balance between humor and good storytelling. If I had watched this as a kid I'd have probably liked it as much as the first one. But you know, nostalgia. Everything's worse when you're older.

TL;DR: Great movie and great sequel. Certainly better than quite a few recent episodes. 9/10 would recommend if you are a fan of SpongeBob.

IGN would probably give the 3D parts 11/10

Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor

Didn't really like that one

And I'm a huge fan of the first two movies.

EDIT: idk why im going back to this post but i feel like i need to mention that i actually watched this in cinema way back when (was it like 2008 or something? lol)

Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods

I liked Beerus's personality and how certain other characters behaved in his presence, but I didn't enjoy the fight that essentially ends the movie, as it was pretty much the fight against Kid Buu, and the transformation referenced in the title looked idiotic and seemed lazy in comparison to the transformation it replaced.

I for one thought the God from was nice change of pace. Honestly, SSJ3 looks ridiculous and is almost a parody of itself. I like the new direction Toriyama's taking power-ups and evidenced by this and Freeza's new form.

Smart move guys, smart move replacing the director of The Illusionist with the director of R.I.P.D. You might as well have McG fill in for J.J. Abrams for Star Wars 8!
