What Movies Have You Seen Recently?

it's a very well-made, entertaining movie, if a little hokey. if i had seen it when it came out i'm sure it'd easily have been one of my favorite movies. it loses that wow factor from its age, but it still holds up really well

luke skywalker is actually pretty boring though
 
yeah luke isn't anyone's favorite character, he's just the hero archetype

don't worry though, the original star wars isn't nearly as good as the sequel (most people agree empire strikes back is the best movie). and i personally feel that return of the jedi and revenge of the sith are better than a new hope

While my internet was dead this weekend I watched a bunch of shit

Captain America 2 (The Winter Soldier)

Good movie, not as good as the first one though.

That one scene with Peggy (or whatever her name was, you know, the girl from the first movie) was pretty touching, and I liked that they brought back that one Hydra guy as a Computer Program.

Else I think there was too much shit going on in the middle of the movie, like for example they could've explained more about Falcon and also I seem to have missed the scene where Falcon got Piers' cellphone to call that one other guy.

Also I legit thought Nick Fury was rip.

Age of Ultron

Better than the first one, also I got a new MCU favorite character: War Machine (I liked him before but since Iron Man 3 and this one even more).

I didn't watch GotG, but wasn't the infinity stones and the guy at the end from that movie?

Also I didn't watch Thor 2 so I guess they explain how Hydra ended up with Loki's wand and why the Avengers are cooperating again (and why Thor is one the earth again)?

Or maybe they did explain it and I forgot it because I was drunk (yay for serving alcohol in cinemas to 16-year olds #Germany)

yeah the inifinity stones and thanos were in guardians of the galaxy but they're both part of the major mcu so they're important plot lines (thanos was in the after credits scene from the first avengers as well)
how hydra got the sceptre is explained in the pre-avengers 2 comics which i havent read (grrrr american only release) and they all got back together to go steal it back from hydra
also presumably thor is there because they fixed the bifrost during thor 2 or something (idk thor 2 was shit)

Also I only remember Red Skull from Avengers 1 Ending, interesting (though thinking about it I faintly recall another guy being there).
 
the first avengers had two end credits; first one with thanos and tension and shit, second was shawarma
the second one just had thanos and the gauntlet
