What Movies Have You Seen Recently?

Okay, some non-spoilery thoughts on Tomorrowland.

This is a movie that people might enjoy if you have pretty low expectations for it. It has a lot of good ideas but you really only get a glimpse of a lot of them. It's a very story-driven movie, but the story moves slowly and has a really sucky conclusion. There are a few really cool scenes, but they're short and far in between. I saw it in IMAX, which was worth it because I got to see the Star Wars trailer in IMAX, but except for a few parts, I'm not sure how much the movie actually benefited from IMAX...

I don't know. It feels like the movie was missing an extra half-hour.

I saw the Star Wars 7 trailer in 3D before AoU.

Can't wait for that movie omgggg

Now I know how people felt in 99 before Episode 1, except that this time around I'm 90% confident of it not being bad.

yeah now that i've seen the trailers i'm glad i avoided those because they basically ruined most of the good stuff in tomorrowland

Age of Ultron.

Watching it late at night with the theater all to ourselves was simply fantastic. I really enjoyed the movie it was pretty awesome.

Mad Max: Fury Road

I don't usually post when I rewatch movies but this is so goddamn amazing. I went with some friends and it blew their minds. Seriously do yourself a favor and watch this.

So if you thought the second season of The Walking Dead was pretty slow at times, here's a little something in that same genre that makes it feel like watching a Baz Luhrmann movie.

Waking Life

I'm sure that not one part of the script was written without the aid of marijuana. But good for that, because this is amazing. Like Boyhood it felt like half its running time.

The Silence of the Lambs

You don't understand how much I want Fincher to remake this.
Why remake it in the first place?
because fincher

also the movie is great but i still wished they explored the characters a little bit more and i'm sure fincher could bring something to that

The Wolverine

I suppose I need to watch Days of the Future Past to understand that ending?

Else, really good movie. Way better than Origins.

Avengers: Age of Ultron

Better than I thought it'd be; not what I was expecting from the spoilers I've seen smattered about. However, the "not one civilian can die" shtick is really hard to believe, especially when they have to go really out of their way to save dumbasses who think it's fine to hang out at the edges of precipices and whatnot.

I'm not excited but I'm curious to see how Hugh Jackman is going to end his Wolverine days in 2017

How did I completely forget to point out that that movie totally stole that Steel Samurai thing from Ace Attorney.

well, silver samurai is about 40 years old

Pitch Perfect

It's the first time I've watched this movie in full since I saw Pitch Perfect 2 (although I've watched the ending of PP twice and about half the movie once since then, but this is the first in full), and it's still absolutely amazing and my opinion of this movie has not changed since watching the second one. They are both absolutely amazing movies and both my two favorite movies of all time, hands down.

Despicable Me

Still love this film

The Other Woman

I enjoyed this movie.

World War Z

Still a fun zombie movie to watch.
