What Movies Have You Seen Recently?

The Triplets of Belleville and Crash

Avengers: Age of Ultron

Very good movie. Still not as good as The Winter Soldier in my book, but the Avengers always has a way of upping the coolness factor beyond that of the other superhero movies. This one did it by bringing in side characters from the other movies and making them a part of this one, so you can see the entire Marvel universe move together. Impressive.

I'd say it's my second favorite now, beating out Iron Man.

The Bourne Legacy.

Thought it was a worthy successor to the original trilogy :s.

Kung Fury

ffffffff holy shit i can't believe they finally released it, it's even more fucking stupid and amazing than the trailer

best short film ever

e: ok so after the initial hype of just watching it i must say that some parts were better than others but it was mostly great the whole way through. for a film funded by kickstarter it was pretty fantastic

Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters

literally the only good thing about this movie was jeremy renner
though i guess the soundtrack could have been worse, needed more heavy metal to go with the ruthless gore

Matrix + Matrix Reloaded

I still think that matrix started out really good and stayed that way

except for the end. nonetheless its still a good movie, and reloaded and revelations are, considering they are already fucked by lazy writing from the first movie, even better

also holy shit the german synchronization sucks, its so much better in english.

I liked it. At times, the story was predictable, but I didn't see the twist coming.

Even so, I had a feeling it would work out in the end. Them having to deal with potentially being brother and sister was interesting though.

matrix revolutions

still think its pretty good. but its easily the worst movie with reloaded being the best for obvious reasons

the animatrix

how come i didnt find this earlier lol

this was better than any of the movies tbh

also in the credits i found out that fucking square (yes that one from square enix) made a segment in this.
as i said earlier today in another thread, there nothing they cant do. not even making a fucking matix animated short movie.

Tomorrowland

This was actually a lot better than i expected, i enjoyed it
athena's accent was the worst thing

honestly i agreed with nix more than clooney
not sure how stopping the broadcast thing saved the world but ok
also i'm really surprised they didn't bring athena back at the end with a "she's a robot lol" excuse

Return of the Jedi

A weaker entry to be sure, but the visual effects are still very stunning.

The Blues Brothers

This movie. This movie is ridiculous. It's outrageous. It's been my most-wanted movie to watch for the past few years (again, that wasn't named Pitch Perfect 2, and now I've already seen that), I've never watched it before... and I decided tonight to reward myself for getting so much stuff done in the past two days exam-wise.

And I loved every single minute of this movie.

It's so outrageous. The car chases, the "violence", the acting by Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi, the "antagonists" of the movie... it's all so outrageous. And it pulls it off so damn well. I love it. I don't even know how to explain any of it, those two hours were some of the best in my entire life.

"It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a tank full of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses."
"Hit it."

So, so, so, so amazing. ;w;

Dracula Untold

Even though parts didn't interest me overall, I still enjoyed the movie and would watch it again.

My one major complaint though is why the Master Vampire waited so long before deciding to get Drac to "repay him" for turning him into a vampire. Surely in the hundreds of years that passed something came up.

blues brothers is actually my favorite movie of all time, it's amazing

So the director of Cats and Dogs 2 and Journey 2 basically thought to himself "You know...maybe it's time I make my special effects look real". Unfortunately that's not enough to make this movie what I was expecting.
