Illegal drone scares terns, which abandon 2,000 eggs on Bolsa Chica nesting island

This news angers me on so much levels. I know this drone crash is likely an accident but people can be so selfish and disrespectful, and the action of just one careless guy can cause such a major disruption like this.
Also, I volunteer there and yes, I hadn't seen the large colony of Elegant Terns this year because of these drone fliers. In addition, I monitor the least tern nesting site and they have been disrupted by these sorts of people too.
