So I've seen the European Nintendo Direct today.

LEGO Iwata is funny.
 
so quickish question

how long did it take you guys to download the data for the first update

because i'm downloading it right now

i've got ONE...idk maybe 1/16 of a bar right now
 
so basically the data to update is longer than the update

....really

oh and because i'm in idiot mode right now

if i unplug the ac adapter to the wii u

will it stop downloading the update

That's just simple math.

Around 2 more ours, maybe plus or minus 30 minutes.

Updates tend to get faster between the middle and the end

you sure the updates speed up from middle to end?

because my internet is...well crap

i mean it took 4 hours for the damn data for the update
 
Usually, Downloading Updates won't brick anything, it's Installing Updates, that can go fatal.

Half Bricked sounds bad enough, good thing it didn't happen to me.
Also, I heard, that if you turn off Wireless N (and go to Wireless B/G, for example), and place your Wii U closer to the Router, it seems to work fine.
 
Well, I did experience a couple of semi-freezings after Updating, but I solved it by simply rebooting the Console.
 
WiFi technology.
Wireless N is definitely better than A, B, or G, but it seems like the Wii U doesn't like N.
 
How I can change that? And Mii Verse is the problem because it freeze when loading Wara Wara plaza and I have no gamepad for 1 week
 
Will the Wii U freeze during the updates? Cause it'd kind of suck if mine got bricked the day I get it and before I get a chance to play it. It'd also fuck up Christmas for me.

I don't think it needs to be repaired. That happened to me the day after i got it, and i just unplugged it and plugged it back in and i haven't had any trouble with it since. I don't know why it crashes for that person though.
