I wouldn't reccomend it unless you have a high tolerance for blood, gore, and godawful puns.

On the other hand, you could watch this instead:
I have a high tolerance for godawful puns...

It's not something you'd lose sleep over and I didn't find it as horrible as it's made out to be, but it's still some nasty stuff.
Before you read it, who's your favorite pony?
If your answer is Pinkie Pie or Rainbow Dash I wouldn't recommend it.

Pinkie Pie. Rainbow is second.

I'm not going to be able to watch the new ponysode today unfortunately because I'm visiting my cousins and the episode isn't on demand so I can't watch it now. However, the description said masked avenger so it must be a returning pony or a new character avenging an old pony (sibling/child?)

Well, I was right about the show surprising us...

I had a feeling it was one of the remaining mane cast after the intro, but I didn't think it would be all of them.

Great episode though. I enjoyed it as usual. (i'll probably have more to say later on)

Alright just saw the new episode

Again it was good. Though yeah Rainbow's Cockiness did get annoying at the beginning but of course that was the whole point. Also looks like we have a look for Newborn Ponies in the show.

Also as soon as I saw the Mysterious Mare do all that magic with the dam and then flying I pretty much knew that it was Rainbow's friends were all dressing up as her. Also the Pinkie Sense finally returned after all this time

Just saw the episode. Honestly...
I didn't really like it. :(

Most of it centers around the "Mysterious Mare-Do-Well" herself, in that it was obvious from the moment she appeared onscreen who it was. I was expecting a new character or something, but then again, in the context of the actual episode, it makes more sense this way. Still, kind of a let-down, personally.

It was also kind of pathetic that Rainbow Dash tried to do "heroic deeds" just so she can be praised. Now if anything, THIS is the kind of lesson that should be learned from that Fairly Odd Parents episode. But at the very least, at least she didn't try to create a crisis just so she could play the hero...

TWILIGHT!

Really, though, the episode's kind of boring. Once I realized who the Mysterious Mare-Do-Well was, it was only a matter of waiting until the very end for the "shocking reveal" and explanation of who did what. Still, nice to see Rainbow Dash learn some "grace and humility", as Twilight put it.

Actually, what I found rather interesting was that the first time Rainbow Dash saved the day, she seemed to be all shy about it. Kind of like how Applejack mentioned she's the only one to every pull off a Sonic Rainboom, or when she won the Best Young Flyers Competition. It wasn't until the second day-saving that she really started soaking up the attention. It's neat how, even though this is a Rainbow Dash-centric episode, it's less about how awesome Rainbow Dash is, but more about how she really needs to keep her hooves on the ground, which is a lesson she probably should have learned a while back.

One last thing I'd like to mention. The mention of the Pinkie Sense... made me cringe. I like how they didn't completely forget about that particular power she has, but at the same time, I hate being reminded of that episode. Not to mention, shouldn't her Pinkie Sense have told her that Rainbow Dash was about to jump on her? :-\

Either way, Pinkie Pie at the end was probably my favorite part of the episode. ;D

From the reaction to this episode, you'd think Dave Polsky wrote this (I don't hate his episodes but his episodes in Season 1 tend to have the most controversy). To be honest I actually enjoyed this more then the Pet episode as it had more funny moments.

It took four ponies to outdo her.

This proves that she's still the best pony.

I thought this episode was great. It had a good moral lesson, and had many funny moments.

Here is a 360p upload of it. Someone will probably upload it in better quality. Also bear in mind this upload has footage from two different streams, so you may need to adjust your sound at some point.

I don't think this episode is nearly as controversial as the episodes he's written.

I know but I didn't even check Ponychan or Equestria Daily comments and I've been seeing comments on how the episode was terrible for Rainbow Dash and/or the rest of the Main cast being jerks, Scootaloo perhaps going a little too far with the fan club thing, to even stuff as minor as the baby pony that showed up for a few seconds.

I know this wasn't a perfect episode but I don't think it was completely bad.

The idea that the "whole cast" being jerks is bullcrap. Rainbow Dash being a jerk... Eh... Well, she certainly wasn't being modest, but she was letting her ego get a hold of her and forgetting that there's more to being a hero than just being famous and soaking up attention. Regardless, she's acted this way before, and I'd say it's about time she was served some humble pie.
(by Pinkie Pie, no less! ;) )

Scootaloo was just fulfilling what everyone already assumed about her: obsessed Rainbow Dash fangirl.

The baby? They're complaining about the baby? For Celestia's sake, why? ...Well, if they come out with more newborn ponies, then I'd see a reason to hate and complain.

The only minor thing I have to complain about was the Pinkie Sense, but there really wasn't anything wrong with it, it just reminded me of an episode I REALLY didn't like.

If I was seeing complaints about that from sites outside of the Equestria Daily comments or Ponychan (Those tend to have the most "out-there" comments. Ponychan especially with the whole anonymity thing) I don't think I want to get close to seeing any of those.

I still gotta see this episode a 2nd time though. Waiting for 720p.

I hope the new masked character will be some kind of shout-out to an already existing masked superhero. So I can geek out over it.
Darkwing Duck. Close enough. One little detail I caught was at Mare-do-Well's ceremony, some of the posters were shout-outs to Batman: The Animated Series. That's awesome.

But yeah, I haven't really liked how they've been making her out to be some kind of insufferable bitch lately. It's good she got some sense knocked into her. Hopefully it'll stay that way.

Also:
Friendly Neighborhood Rainbow Dash
I will patiently await my Spider-Dash fanart.

That was an awesome episode.
At first I though mare do well was Applejack, then I thought it was Twilight, then I though Twilight had used her wing spell. Then while Rainbow Dash was on that storm cloud I realized that it was all of the other Mane 6.

Ack. I was away today and now I have to do work. I can't wait until I have the time to get on my iPad and watch this.

I liked the fact the Pinkie Sense returned. It makes Pinkie Keen less of a Big Lipped Alligator Moment that up until now that's what it felt like.

Anyway next week is a Rarity episode where she has to choose her friends or the life of her dreams in Canterlot. Sounds simple, but we gotta await what happens within the episode that gives it a catch. Maybe we'll see the return of a Celebrity pony? (Hoity Toity/Photo Finish/etc.) or perhaps even a new one?

For those who missed it

I actually missed the beginning of the episode, so now I know how it all starts!

I STILL don't care much for Snips and Snails. I find their voices rather annoying.

Snips and Snails are awesome, quiet you two. Every pony is awesome.

Anyway, I quite liked this episode. I figured it was the mane cast being mare do well about halfway through the episode (when she had both wings and a horn), though before that I was kinda hoping it to be Trixie. When I saw the horn I was getting excited, but sadly my bubble got popped by the wings that appeared like 15 seconds later.

Oh, how long must we still wait for her return?
