Alrighty. Indeed it is a trivial issue, but sometimes, the most trivial arguments occur; this is one of those cases.

I'm interjecting here to say that I agree that Stooben has the final say in this, but Uniju's not the one who came in and restarted the argument (in fact, I don't think he did that at all; it was me who brought it up at first, then it died, then either Shyguy or Stooben said something that everybody started replying to, and then Ralph came by and mentioned something that sparked the argument back to life).

I know. It was just the way Uniju phrased it that sounded like he was trying to get the arguement to continue.

@Ralph: Yeah, but it's annoying when you do it all the time and for random numbers. Plus I don't really consider 830 to be a milstone. :P

Actually, we never were. I realized that our post counts were near each other and, being competitive, I wanted to celebrate beating a friend.
 
Even though Uniju's just being sarcastic so he can bash Garlic over the head with something he's done in the past even though time in Most Time Online setting can't be changed in certain boards but that's obviously the point of his sarcasm and he's implying he thinks we are not being reasonable for not changing post counts, a tiny little trival matter, which Uniju some people claim not to care about but are bothering to type up text walls such as this to argue and resorting to pulling loaded questions and statments out of his their ass; I just wanna sidebar and say that a long time ago I actually suggested taking the stats page away from certain users, but it's too hard to change as you'd have to change the stats format and a bunch of stuff we don't currently have access to.

Anyway, I think Stoob will probabilly be glad to give his final word on this so we can all shut the hell up to end this lengthy arguement.

I wasn't trying to insult you. I was just explaining how your sarcasm reminded me of a suggestion I made on the mod board a few months ago. The description just got a little lengthy, sorry if you took offense to that. What do you consider the big picture to be anyway? My opinions are different than yours, so I may see it differently.

The big picture is:
*The thread I posted was not "in the past", he last updated it today.
*I have in fact made several arguments for my views that were not responded to by anyone on your side of this argument(and I've even pointed this out before in this thread, obviously met with no response), such as;
To me, the current "post count"(if it can even be called that, since it doesn't even count all of the posts) is like if Special:Editcount only listed non-minor Mainspace edits. Sure, you could do that. Sure, there might be some obsessive elitist who would think of that as an improvement because the "lower" edits are further from their sight... But what does it really do? It makes the whole feature pointless, because it doesn't do what it's very name describes it as doing.

*The people who keep trolling us about how this argument should end *coughshyguycough* are the ones who already have exactly what they want(i.e, a rule made for the sole purpose of pissing off anyone who values things that they don't).
 
Uniju, post counts are not worth the time or effort you and your side are putting into it and it's not worth the time or effort for the mods to change change. Stop trollin' and shut the hell up.

It'd take thirty seconds and little to no effort if the mods didn't spend ten minutes grumbling about how "al dat uniji gai duz is trol!" between clicks. Maybe if they did that, they might also realize that this is the "Suggestions for Improvement" thread, and uh, maybe I'm suggesting something that I feel would improve.
 
Technailly speaking, egging on the mods and people that don't agree with you is trolling to a small extent. Never the less, I've told ShyGuy to stop responding "bothering" you since it's also pissing him off as well.
 
First, I'm not trying to egg on the mods or the people who don't agree with me. I'm just angry because of the second thing I will explain.

And second, if you would scroll up a little bit, there was a post where I outlined all the things I had said that you had ignored and that I felt really should be brought to your attention. Would you mind...

Excuse me, what? I don't understand what you're saying. This is the Suggestions for Improvement thread, an improvement was suggested and turned down, but I feel it should not have been and so I have written several things that I feel justify it. I would like that you read it, you being a moderator and as such at least part of the group of people who collectively make decisions regarding such matters.

What does this even have to do with your ego?
 
Well, having someone they hate get hit by a loaded question normally makes a person's ego feel quite full. That's why I've taken a vow not to respond anymore.

You're a moderator. Stop acting like you aren't even a member. This isn't about egos, this is about the forum that you happen to have control over. When you have control over something, you can't just IGNORE someone when they say that there is something that it is within your ability at least to CONSIDER doing that would make the thing which you have control over better in some way, especially when that thing which you have control over is used primarily for discussion by a wide range of users including the person who is suggesting such a thing.

I suggest, for the improvement of this forum, that the moderators stop sticking their fingers in their ears so that someone's ego doesn't "feel quite full" when they are in fact trying to help. And I don't hate you.

Or at least, I didn't before the post which I am responding to.
