Nope. I don't watch mech anime, so I don't really know any. Actually, Captain Earth may be my first and so far I don't think I've seen many giant robots and shit.

Valvrave? I heard that's a pretty weird one. I just know because of the complaints about a rape scene in one of the episodes and ERU ERUFU is a badass or something.
 
i think i tried about five episodes of that one, didn't really get into it.

I don't think I've ever watched anime on DVD. The only legal way I've watched it is Crunchyrool.

Even then, the sub group I download from rip them from crunchyroll so in a way I'm still watching their videos.

o yea on a side note i saw the new sailor moon remastered edition
this version isnt really that big of a step in terms of art but i guess its like, what do you expect, its just a remake of the old series

Is that the new one that's supposed to be following the manga or something? Or just the old one with a fresh coat of paint.

Because I was under the impression this new one was going to be different.
 
I might give the manga one a try.

On a different note; No Game No Life and Hitsugi no Chaika aremy favourites to watch right now. Both are on Thursday too, so double the goodness.

No Game No Life has decided that if the fanservice in episode 6 wasn't enough to deter a viewer, they can put up with pretty much anything. Because the first minute of episode 7 caught me off guard completely. I still think this show is probably my favourite regardless, I like the characters and the world they're in.

Hitsugi no Chaika is kind of more generic but does everything well. It introduces some things that make you curious but never explains them and nothing really seems forced. Except for maybe the dragon cat thing. She was kind of a curveball addition. It's got a second season confirmed already so I'll watch that too.
 
btw everyone here is aware that k-on is garbage and is literally moe-nonsense with no plot squeezed into an anime right?

there is literally nothing good about it beyond "it looks good"
 
Yeah, but it's enjoyable to watch regardless of whether it has a deep plot or not.

It's literally a show about cute girls doing cute things, it doesn't really need to be anything more. There are plenty of shows out there to watch if I want an engaging plot. On the flipside, there are also plenty to watch if you want something calm and I'd say K-On! fits into that category.

Just because you don't like this type of show, doesn't make it garbage. The reason different genres exist is to cater to different tastes. K-On! is just a light-hearted show.
 
also i've had someone try and get me to watch the show since like last november or some shit and it just really gets on my nerves like how many times to i have to say "NO" before they get it :mad:
 
That's understandable. The show definitely isn't for everyone, just for those that can find enjoyment in these types of shows.

I'd love for people to watch OreGairu but I'm not going to try and pester someone to, I absolutely love the show but I can easily see how it could be a boring or pretentious show for others.
 
oddly enough i enjoyed the manga of k-on, but i just can't watch the show

idek i think it's cause the manga is short as fuck and i can read the whole thing in one sitting or whatever

you can kinda tell that the left version is a little more defined, like a bolder outline for instance
