The Official AH NEE MAY Topic

well im definitely going to reconsider watching anything produced by them again
christ
it was like they were just shitting them everywhere in nisekoi
i guess that was my first shaft anime

how is bakemonogatari tho? i guess i should say the monogatari series, idk how they made their seasons but i remember xp showed me the opening and that got stuck in my head for awhile

I thought Bake was confusing at first but really good in the long run. Nise was a little bit weirder and less interesting. I haven't gone past that anymore.

SHAFT generally has good quality, they just are known for their SFX and wicked backgrounds. Don't get turned off by it, I just think Nisekoi needed it because otherwise it would be kind of dull and boring.

EDIT: Watch Madoka Magica. They really are a good animation studio, they just like to put in those types of animation effects. It's alright not to like the effects because they can be obnoxious at times but don't let it deter you from watching more anime made by them.

ic ic

yea i guess ur right, but idk imo they kinda overdid it. liek the threw it in where regular scenery woulda been fine

ive heard a lot of talk about madoka magica but idk it seems really girly to me (who am i to talk lol). i guess ill watch it sometime maybe but it cant top sailor moon

It's hard to get into more detail without spoilers...

Basically, these two girls find out that their world is being protected by magical girls who fight trippily-animated monsters, and are then offered the chance to become magical girls themselves and join the fight. At first it seems like a nice, noble undertaking, but the glamour of being a magical girl is slowly peeled off to reveal how dangerous and lonely it is to be part of the neverending struggle of good vs. evil... And then it gets worse. A lot worse.

The story just sucks you in as you try to figure out the layers of mystery and almost dread what will happen next to the cast of very compelling characters as they're dragged deeper and deeper into the nightmare of it all. If you're planning to watch it, seriously, AVOID SPOILERS, and just sit down and watch. It's only 12 episodes, and it will be time well-spent.

waw
sounds intriguing
well then
youve convinced me to watch this
pat yourself on the back for a job well done

Finally got my shit together and watched the rest of the K-On! movie.

I'm confused as to why they graduate in both the movie and the show.
they sure like their timeskips, but at least the revisit was just filling in the blanks (for the most part), nothing contradicting as far as i recall.

btw just thought i'd mention that despite my dislike of k-on, about 39% of my posts on another forum are in the k-on thread on that board :P

and i'm number two for posts in the k-on thread too

I've been watching Mahouka.

It should be named 'The daily life of god and why you should be sucking his dick'.

That piano music is so out of place and shows up at the weirdest of times. Why does it exist.

I thought the Light Novel's were alright but this is in so bad it's good territory.

You secretly love it, don't you?

well, i enjoyed the manga at least

i just have a dislike of moe anime in general + i think traditional animation looks better than modern digital animation in HD imo. modern digital looks too clean to me

On the other hand, I can't stand older style animation. I look at it and only see ugly and it hampers my viewing experience.

Just a personal preference, but I really do have trouble watching them.

5D's was the best one so far to be honest. Yusei was a good character.

Though I haven't watched anything past 5D's.

I have watched a couple of 5D episodes. Mostly only because I wanted to see a specific monster being used. The last one I watched was with Black Rose Dragon, and that was freaking amazing. But yeah, I would rate Arc-V so far as slightly less than 5D.

OG YUGIOH THE BEST

Anyways I watched Plastic Nee-san.

I...I don't even know what I watched except it had this

I'm going to watch the new sailor moon as it airs, possibly Akame ga Kill or Aldnoah.Zero as well. There really isn't much that interests me this time around.

Probably watch Sword Art Online II just because it will either redeem that fairy people part or be so bad I'll enjoy making fun of it (similar situation with Mahouka right now). I liked the light novel part of GGO but it'll probably make for some weird or so bad it's good moments.

Captain Erf was good until it got to the monster of the week stage. It's boring introducing the bad guys this way. Lots of repetition, nothing interesting. Mahouka is just hilariously dull, the adventures of magical Jesus describes it pretty well.

My summer watching is Free! Eternal Summer, Sailor Moon: Crystals and probably DRAMAtical Murder- even though my expectations aren't overly high for it as I am not sure how they will put the 'routes' into an anime and I have a nasty feeling they will miss a lot out to... widen the audience, which could also leave some pretty big plot gaps and stuff.

『悪魔のリドル』が仕上がった。

Overall, it was ok. It could have been better, though.
