Pokemon X and Pokemon Y

Maybe Gamefreak will connect Alomomola to Luvdisc in Gen VI like they did with the Hitmon family. Same thing could happen between Pachirisu and Emolga.

Thought they made a prevolution of Hitmon family, so I don't think Alomomola and Luvdisc could connect.

What about if you wanted to use a Volcarona, but it starts out as a Larvesta? Larvesta can't evolve until it reaches level 59, and if your opponents are lower leveled than your Larvesta, it won't earn as much experience points as if it were at a level disadvantage. Additionally, it's not until Volcarona reaches level 70 that it'll learn Bug Buzz.
Audinogrinding solves that problem nicely.

And the ability to gain forty-one levels in one battle outweighs any downsides by way of sheer awesomeness.

As some one who has raised two 6 pokemon teams all to Lv. 100 in Black 2, no it does not.

I think in the long shot that the EXP curve is better, in the sense that you start with a low level Pokemon, because by the time it is fully leveled, you basically did less battles to get it that far, as opposed to no curve.

However, if you have started with like a Lv. 40 or higher Pokemon, then the curve can be a pain, though to be honest, I found getting Pokemon to Lv. 100 to be A LOT easier than in Gen IV. Like, the highest level I managed to get in Gen IV was like 75, and that took FOREVER! And in Gen V, I already have like 20 Pokemon that are Lv. 100.

You must also take into account that certain Pokemon level up much faster than others. For instance, while Zangoose starts out leveling up slowly at levels below 50, it only needs 600,000 Exp. points to reach level 100. Whereas, for Seviper, it starts out leveling up very fast, but once it exceeds level 50, leveling it up will eventually become very tedious, as it needs 1,640,000 Exp. points to reach level 100.

Simply put, the difficulty of leveling up your Pokemon can depend on its experience growth formula, the opponent's experience level, and whether or not it's a wild Pokemon you're battling.

There's also the Pokemon Breeders at the White Treehollow, who use the Happiny family. Their Blisseys can offer way more experience points than you'd ever get from a wild Audino.

this too

it didn't take me as long to grind a team to level 100 as it would have in leafgreen

It was quite easy, I thought... I got a 100 lv real quick. N's Zoroark+lucky egg. And I also have a 100 lv Heatran. To level up, I also used the rival battles, N battles, and Akuroma Battles. In challenge mode.

White 2 owners are out of luck without Black 2, however, since you need to complete the main story in Black 2 in order to send the Challenge Mode key to White 2.

Which reminds me...

Maybe the key system should return for the X and Y versions.

Try 12. It begins to feel as if you are being cheated out of experience even though you may be actually getting more.

EDIT: Fuck, I'm retarded. I thought I was on reddit. Sorry about the double post.

You can transfer a key to another version without losing it in your own game, right? Because, if so, I like that idea. You know, being able to get version exclusives on ONE game without having to take a Pokemon from another game. And you still need both versions, so it's not like it'll undermine the idea of trading with others.

And if you don't have two DS with two pokémon games, how do you get traded pokémons?

Siblings

And if your siblings don't have a DS and a Pokémon game?
Friends
What friends?

I don't have friends who play Pokémon, and none of my siblings own a Pokémon game. So it is not possible for me to get traded Pokémons.
