I know, but I'm using that term for, you know, the purpose of getting my point across

Yeah Tanooki Mario will have the same weight as Mario, also making him another most pointless character ever.

So judging by your statement, pretty much everyone is pointless because they share their stats with at least one other character. A rather dumb statement if you asked me.

Jumping to conclusions is pretty dumb if you ask me.

The real issue I have with Tanooki Mario and Cat Peach is that they're literally Mario and Peach, but in a different outfit and have even LESS distinguishing features than say, Pink Gold Peach and Metal Mario. At least they have a slightly different voices. The only difference is a cute different animation and different voices. They're nearly a waste of characters, and I can't believe I'm paying money for some content bundled in a package that is practically meaningless in any way you throw it.

Re: Mario Kart 8

If you don't like the characters, just don't play as them. It's as simple as that.

Re: Mario Kart 8

As I said, I don't like paying for content that I find is meaningless, hence why I don't like how 2/3rds of the characters in a DLC pack are worthless. If the characters packaged individually at a lower price or something, I'd be ok with that.

Hopefully, the new courses will make up for it.

Re: Mario Kart 8

They definitely will, which is why I'm still very thrilled for this DLC. The characters are just a small first world problem compared to the new tracks.

Re: Mario Kart 8

Found a video of SNES Rainbow Road with no commentary so you can hear the music:

Re: Mario Kart 8

watching these guys race is painful

the cover version isn't really a spectacular imo

Re: Mario Kart 8

These guys were prety awful, I must admit

Re: Mario Kart 8

better if we don't

i think it's better we don't spoil ourselves and wait until next week to play on those stages

Re: Mario Kart 8

Meh on the Rainbow Road music.

I just hope they make an epic remix of Wario's Gold Mine. That music was awesome.

BTW, here's a bit of new footage:

I think that's new music that plays when it starts talking about the new tracks. It's probably Ice Ice Outpost's music.

The remix is not bad, though it's not that clear to hear because of all the racers.

Cover is pretty neat to me.

Here is the Dutch variant of that video. It is without spoken commentaries, so you can hear the music much better.

Re: Mario Kart 8

Heh, Link in Mario Kart and later the Villager. What is this Super Smash Kart?
And what's next, Super Smash Party - oh wait

Well I was joking but ROB was a guest character too but he was only a character with his karts. Here there's guest characters, tracks from other franchises, vehicle parts from other franchises etc.

Re: Mario Kart 8

And why do people always call it "Super Smash X" when they talk about Nintendo crossovers?

Smash implies there's fighting, which there isn't in racing. Not in the conventional sense, anyway.

That makes Mario Sports Mix and NBA Street V3 crossovers.... and they're not.
