I found a tiny glitch in Electrodrome. If you fall from the green light-up platforms onto the pink ones, the kart will go out of antigravity mode for a second and then immediately go back.

Then you should've died since you're probably upside down.

Nintendo really need to improve their roster selection, the fact the Wapeach was even considered is beyond me.

There's plenty of good choices, we don't need seven koopalings, 5 babies and two incredibly stupid metal characters. Jr., Diddy and Birdo all would of been great choice to actually expand. Did nintendo really have to go for quantity over quality.

Did anyone notice that the gliding pads in Twisted Mansion are incorrectly textured? They just look like blue boost pads instead of having the arrows and stuff.

I wonder if anyone else found out about it, I just looked to see it, also it was the same for the track when it was shown off at E3.

Evil Peach wasnt considered for Mario Kart 8.

I'm pretty sure after they decided not to add Wa-Peach into whatever game she was considered for, they reworked the idea into PGP and added it into MK8.

Besides if they did add an actual evil version of Peach I'd want it to be Shadow Queen Peach.

The game she was considered for was Mario Tennis, back in 2000. I doubt they held on to the idea for over a decade and then decided to make her rose gold.

The more likely scenario is that they were running out of time and stuff and they add a quick and easy solution to make a new character. And since Metals are apparently popular, they decided to make a new Peach metal with an allusion to New Super Mario Bros. 2

It's not that hard to think things through like this.

PGP and Metal Mario were quick easy jobs, if they weren't in the game nothing would replace them, they'd just be empty spots.

It's not that hard to think things through like this.

Or they did it on purpose, to add a heavy female character. She is an original choice, because unlike baby Rosalina, nobody could have guessed that character.

I get that people are disappointed that veterans like Birdo, Diddy Kong, Bowser Jr, and King Boo are MIA, but there's no need to take it out on other characters.

I beg to differ about the Metals being "quick, easy jobs".

They need unique shaders and their texture files are different. They have a different set of key frame animations and their voice actors need to supply new voices, which also need a filter to complete the effect.

They probably take as much time as any other character, maybe slightly less time because the rigging and the skeleton are probably the same. Nintendo probably didn't model ANY of their characters from scratch (except for Baby Rosalina, to an extent) for Mario Kart 8.

The only thing that takes remotely any shred of real effort is the key framed animations and new voice acting but the rest aren't hard to incorporate. Especially your whole shaders argument, I'm sure it's the game engine that renders the shaders not the characters themselves. And really, texture files different? It's basically a recolor job.
