You can love it, but you can't deny Mario Kart DS is superior because the controls are actually good.

I put down SC permanently years ago because trying to make a simple turn put me far off the track.

Mario Kart DS was so lackluster, I almost gave up playing on it within the first thirty minutes. Probably should have.

You obviously didn't make it to Waluigi Pinball. MKDS is actually nostalgic for me, as it was the first Mario Kart that I actually unlocked all characters and karts on.

But aren't you the one who said he hated the DS?

I unlocked all the characters (which is like one of easiest if not the easiest to unlock) and all the tracks. OK, there's a few tracks that are good like Waluigi Pinball and Tick Tock Clock, but the majority of it was lackluster. Also, it so much that I hate the DS, it's just that it replaced my favorite game system of all time, which is the GBA. Kind of silly, I know, but I resent the DS for that. Plus, I hate hinges.

Eh, I saw the DS as an improvement on the GBA (which was my first game system btw) No reason why one can't like both.

Also, I didn't play SC much, but I've seen videos and read about the fact that it has far too many Bowser Castles, as evidenced by the spam of retro Bowser Castle tracks. How that's less boring than the DS tracks is beyond me.

Yeah, you do have a point that there were way too many Bowser Castles, actually 4 to be precise.

That thing is what I play all my GBA games on, because the original GBA is hard to see with no backlit screen.

it was basically like the gba but it introduced the backlight (which was amazing because it meant me and my siblings could play on it even after we'd gone to bed) and it had hinges

All my life, the only GBAs I have seen were the original GBAs and nothing else. They're like, a touchscreenless DS. They were the bridge the GBA and DS I pressume. If I wanted to play the GBA in the dark, I would use this:
