I've often wondered what it would've been like if Yoshi was also playable in this game. Maybe he'd rival the Blue Toad in speed, but have average jumping; he'd basically be Luigi's polar opposite, in terms of statistics. And along with the Flutter Jump, Yoshi can use his tongue to attack most enemies; for some examples, the tongue attack can be used to grab Bob-ombs, and push back Bullies.

However, Yoshi would be flawed in that he can't use his tongue attack while wielding a power-up (much like how Rosalina can't Star Spin while she's wielding a power-up), and he can't perform more than one Flutter Jump while in the air. But if Yoshi jumps on an enemy after Flutter Jumping, he can perform another Flutter Jump.

I even did up some stamps that follow the artwork style of the other stamps...

I would love that, but I just can't imagine Yoshi in the power-up suits without looking quite awkward

Fire Yoshi could just have Yoshi turning into a Red Yoshi, while maintaining his shoe colors.

Boomerang Yoshi would wear the same outfit as Boomerang Mario, but the suit would be colored light green to keep his color scheme different from that of Luigi.

Cat Yoshi would probably receive a more drastic transformation, similar to that of Meowser; instead of a suit, Yoshi would receive a furry body, cat ears, whiskers on his nose, and his tail becomes more like a cat as well. Additionally, his fingers would grow short claws to enable him to scratch enemies and climb walls. Cat Yoshi's body turns white during the process; the polar opposite of Rosalina's black cat suit.

Tanooki Yoshi would follow the same drastic transformation as Cat Yoshi, but he'll instead turn brown, grow tanooki ears, and his tail will turn into a raccoon tail.

I find this post unnecessarily salty
While half-true it does uccur to me that you love to point out how easy you find things when others have difficulties with it.

You did this to me a few days ago, so *occur

And I don't really see the point of this argument, people find things easier than others and usually happy with themselves about it, especially if others have difficulty.

People have different definitions of difficulty. If this game is anything like 3D Land, then there are tons of extra lives, so essentially the challenge is removed since it's hard to get a game over.

Also, if it's like 3D Land, then there's no real difficulty in the level design. 3DW simply made it hard to navigate around the 3D world. Also, they'd just make platforms smaller and farther away than actually create difficulty.

No need to brag about it though.

If you just play though the game you don't encounter as much lives as you might think. I think I had around 20 lives when I reached World 4, and had four Game Overs in World Bowser.

Shrinking and putting farther away platforms qualifies as making it more difficult. And this 'fake difficulty' you keep talking about is just any other difficulty.

Gotta love the details in this game.

Seems like those orbs aren't just 2D-images like I somewhat expected. Seeing the size of those things and that nobody usually looks at those things in detail.

I'm pretty sure shrinking platforms and making them father away is real difficulty because this encourages the player to be more precise with their jumps. It only becomes fake difficulty when they spam with these platforms.

Guess what, I wasn't bragging about it. I just thought the game was easy.

oh, i didn't think of checking the stamp page (i already checked the page for world 6 and there wasn't anything useful), thanks for the help!

Not to defend the game, because for the most part it isn't really difficult, but that's a silly way of looking at difficulty in games. I can easily say that Donkey Kong Country Returns is a very easy game (spoilers: it isn't) because I never got a game over on it. DKCR does hand you lives and you can actually buy them in the shop, but it doesn't suddenly make the game easier, it just makes it so I don't waste 2 minutes of my time having to look at the Game Over screen, go back to the title screen, and then pick up where I left off.

Yeah, that was the only stamp I had to look up to find. Such a clever place to put it.

I agree with you. This is also the reason we need to remove lives so we can trim off the seconds where we see our lives ticked down after we die. Lives don't define good difficulty; it's the level design.

I like the fact that the way Bowser transforms into cat is a reference to the Maneki-Neko or Lucky Cat. In fact, the cat powerup is a reference to them to begin with and I like the bell trees.

After over a week of hard work, I've pretty much completed everything with every character now. That sure kept me busy for a while.

Is it just me or the game just decides to throw a giant difficulty spike at you when you reach world 6.

A lot of my deaths did come from trying to get green stars though.
