Okay I'm gonna miss it hope someone Youtubes it.

i saw quicksilver and scarlet witch but i don't think i've seen hulkbuster. got a link?

edit: nevermind, saw it.

i am so happy

yup, still happy

i was a little disappointed that igor's appearance was so brief, so hopefully this makes up for that in the oversized iron man suit department.

quicksilver's costume is a little simplistic (granted, his normal costume doesn't give them a whole lot to work with) but it works.

then again, the concept art for marvel usually makes everything look badass.

I already like this Quicksilver design better than the DOFP version.

definitely, tbh i have no clue what they were trying to do with the dofp version.

as per gp's request i'm posting my thoughts on captain america here

Last night I watched Captain America: The First Avenger. The movie sits in an awkward spot - on one hand, the movie's direction is very well-done and the action (once it starts) is fast-paced and exciting. Unfortunately, it's hogged down by a large amount of flaws.

The movie stars Chris Evans as Steve Rogers, an extremely patriotic young man who wants to enlist in the army to fight in World War II. Unfortunately, due to various health problems, he's unable to fight - until a scientist comes along and injects a serum into him that turns him into a super-strong super-soldier dubbed Captain America who has enough strength to leap across giant gaps and send his opponents flying with every punch. With his newfound abilities, he sets off to defeat the evil Red Skull, a Nazi intent on harnessing the powerful Tesseract to destroy the world.

The main problem here is that it's hard to get involved in the movie because the characters are flat and uninteresting. While the actors all do a great job in their roles - especially Hugo Weaving's performance of the Red Skull - the characters themselves simply do not come across as 3-dimensional. The only one who gets any spotlight is Steve Rogers, whose only obstacle is that his body is not suited for fighting; once he becomes Captain America early on in the movie, he is essentially a perfect human being without any flaws. The love interest of Rogers, Peggy Carter, comes across as a typical stern army officer who has had a romantic plotline shoved on her for the sake of satisfying Hollywood's need for a romantic sideplot in every movie. The Red Skull too comes across as another archetypal villain, driven mad with his hunger for power.

Another problem comes in the fact that the movie seems to be supporting the fact that only those who are strong can be of help; while Rogers is told that the serum he is given only brings out the best traits that were already inside him, there is no super-soldier serum in the real world that can turn skinny boys into national heroes. Instead, we're just shown how much better Rogers is when he's becomes buff (and somehow immediately learns combat techniques as soon as his transformation completes).

The movie is exactly what you'd expect: a fun, light action flick, which is great to watch if you're bored and looking for something to take up your time. But it's hardly anything special. 2.5/4

really?

i thought she was more than that, if only because she runs out into the street and starts shooting at the nazi in that one scene

that was pretty awesome

that's like all she did in the movie, besides giving him a helmet i guess

and she randomly showed up at the final battle

oh well. if it's a female character shooting people you want, black widow does pretty well at that in the avengers

That's the Heart Breaker Armor I think.

Well now its just the Wind Breaker Armor.( Like the jacket http://www.bing.com/search?q=Wind+Breaker&src=IE-TopResult&FORM=IE10TR)
