I honestly kind of agree that four Fire Emblem characters is a bit much, especially when there are more important franchises still at three and two. I think three would have been plenty.

Well, honestly, did you know that of all 1st and 2nd Party series represented in Smash Bros, Fire Emblem has the lowest average sales per game. Honestly, I wish that everyone who bought Fire Emblem Awakening instead decided to buy Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D so that we could have more Donkey Kong reps and less FIre Emblem reps and that no more Fire Emblem games coming out.

I don't mean to start something but why? Fire Emblem is my all-time favorite series and I'm interested to know why you think that. It's one of Nintendo's first RPG series (if not their first full-fledged RPG series), it might very easily be one of the key series that bridged Japan-only games to an international audience, the characters of the series have become popular as a result of the Smash games and the series has truly taken off internationally now because of Awakening, and let's be honest, it's probably in its prime with an international audience.

Doesn't Chrom not being a playable character pretty much discredit the Gematsu leak? I hope so, because Chrous Kids are shit. Bring me a better Rhythm Fever character.

I just had a though about Lucina. You know how Marth has been changed and he is now more ground oriented? His forward air as a ton more lag on it now. Seeing as how Lucina will probably have a semi-cloned moveset, maybe she could be the more aerial character.

Maybe us Marth mains will be able to use Lucina if Marth feels too nerfed.

We didn't get what was most expected (Shulk), and in fact one of the 2nd place expected was deconfirmed as being a part of a character's Final Smash (Chrom, with Lucina as the Playable instead), and we even got Robin. I actually was thinking at some point Robin was a bit of a Dark Horse character for Smash Bros. The whole Wii Fit Trainer thing with both male and female kinda gave much chance for Robin.

But anyway, it looks like the Gematsu Leak was just lucky with most of it's picks up until now. So now anything can happen now.

As I'm sure most of ya know, the leaker e-mailed me last night teasing Shulk.

He also e-mailed me again this morning saying Nintendo keeps a lot secret from Bandai Namco, and that Sakurai may change his mind as he does all the time, but that Shulk was 100%.

A quote: "I only know what has been done, not what or when they will be made available. Sakurai may change his mind, and he does all the time. Shulk will not be changed."

I've e-mailed him about the lack of Shulk, as well as the whole Chrom being a Final Smash thing. I'll update if I get a response.

Still finding it hard to believe. 8 for 11 is no easy task. I wonder what he has to say.

While I wouldn't mind Mario having 8 reps, I certainly wouldn't want two of them to be wasted by Daisy and Toad. I'd be fine with Bowser Jr. though.

Toad makes the most sense as a Mario newcomer. Followed by Junior and Paper Mario. Even then, I highly doubt they'll get in. Daisy never will have a shot.
