I definitely see Daisy making it in somewhere from Smash 5-8. Possibly even Smash 4 DLC. With Rosalina in and Waluigi transferred to Wario series, Daisy, Toad, and Bowser Jr are the only 3 potential Mario Newcomers left that make any sense.

Same here. I was expecting Shulk like everyone else.Roserade the Real Bombchu said:Well, I sure wasn't expecting that reveal. I mean, I knew for sure C. Falcon, but Lucina and Robin I did not expect.

We're making a pretty big assumption here...3D Player 2004 said:I definitely see Daisy making it in somewhere from Smash 5-8. Possibly even Smash 4 DLC. Actually Paper Mario has no chance. He is from a series that is quickly losing Popularity and Nintendo refuses to acknowledge the RPGs existence anyways. Even if they did, Daisy is more important to the series being in over half of the Mario Karts, and in all but 2 Mario Parties as well as being a prominent Sports Game Character (even over characters like Diddy Kong, Bowser Jr, and Rosalina) titles which Paper Mario cannot claim.Lumastar said:Same here. Yep, Daisy is more important than Paper Mario, because she appears in spin-offs. Uh huh.3D Player 2004 said:Actually Paper Mario has no chance. Since when did Paper Mario appear in games that weren't spin-offs? Never.Roserade the Real Bombchu said:Yep, Daisy is more important than Paper Mario, because she appears in spin-offs. Has Daisy ever had her own series of games? No.3D Player 2004 said:Since when did Paper Mario appear in games that weren't spin-offs? I'm not gonna start another Paper Mario debate, so I'll just leave it at that.

Both Mario RPGs sold over 2 million copies. The Mario RPGs are still popular and have sold more than several series that are already in Smash (beyond trophies). Paper Mario is the main character of the highest selling sub-series of Mario RPGs. Daisy was brought back to give Peach a partner. She appears in more games, but she is usually Peach's partner and/or has the same or similar stats to Peach. I've already stated that she could have a unique moveset. I never stated that she probably will have a unique moveset. Also, how is she more important than Diddy Kong, Donkey Kong's partner and the main lead in a couple of games, Bowser Jr., Bowser's son and a major antagonist in several Super Mario games, or Rosalina, a playable character in Super Mario 3D World and a major character in Super Mario Galaxy (called by many as the game of the last decade)? Waluigi would still represent the Mario spin-offs whether he's a Wario character or not because he was created for the Mario spin-offs. He has become the face of them. Game appearances aren't everything. Your logic is flawed.3D Player 2004 said:Actually Paper Mario has no chance. I consider the Mario RPGs a different beast.3D Player 2004 said:GalacticPetey said:Since when do spin-offs mean anything? Do you forget that Paper Mario is the star of his own series?

Do you forget that Mario RPGs are just a different type of Mario Spinoff?
Like I said, Daisy could have a unique moveset. That's not the problem.3D Player 2004 said:Roserade the Real Bombchu said:I will accept your idea if you can give me a good moveset for her.
Taking a moment searching through my archives:
<B>: Flowershot (Shoots a small flower and if it hits anybody, it causes the flower status condition)
VBV: Garden Area (Creates an aura around Daisy that slows other Characters down)
B: Whack (Daisy slaps at nearby enemies damaging them)
^B^: Giant Flower Tether (Takes out a Giant Flower and pulls herself to a ledge with it. Also knocks other players off)
Final Smash: Flower Field (A big area of Flowers come into the screen and entangles others. They are stuck in place for 10 Seconds)
I would love this.GalacticPetey said:So guys, how 'bout this for a video in the August Direct. A villain video.
It starts with Wario and Ganondorf duking it out (confirming them). Ganondorf has a brand new moveset. Suddenly, a another Challenger slams to the ground between them. Ganondrof and Wario back up. The camera pans to reveal the foe.
RIDLEY MAKES HIS BIG DEBUT!

Jigglypuff isn't officialy a she.GalacticPetey said:Sakurai is really stepping it up with the female characters this time around. Soon Jigglypuff will join them.
Jigglypuff is part of the original 12, so she is definitely coming back.3D Player 2004 said:Hopefully Jigglypuff gets cut. Sceptile deserves a slot.
Jigglypuff is part of the original 12, has a unique moveset, is insanely popular in Japan, had a large role in the anime, and can represent the fairy type.3D Player 2004 said:Hopefully Jigglypuff gets cut. Sceptile deserves a slot.

Thank you, GalacticPetey and Shy Guy. If Sakurai wants to put Jigglypuff, Mewtwo, and Sceptile in he can. Plus, you said yourself that Pokémon deserves seven reps.GalacticPetey said:Jigglypuff is part of the original 12, has a unique moveset, is insanely popular in Japan, had a large role in the anime, and can represent the fairy type.
What does Sceptile have besides being a grass type? We don;t need a grass type anyway.

Why does a triangle need to be completed? Melee and Smash 64 didn't. Again, the roster was decided back in 2012, too early for considering ORAS.3D Player 2004 said:GalacticPetey said:Jigglypuff is part of the original 12, has a unique moveset, is insanely popular in Japan, had a large role in the anime, and can represent the fairy type.3D Player 2004 said:Hopefully Jigglypuff gets cut. Completing the triangle, promoting AR/OS.
