10:30 - 11:30 PST (figure it out for where you live) is the average time of PoTD's, people. Anything before 10:30 is early and anything after is late. I think the latest it's ever been is like 2 am PST.

Pfft, I don't count it late yet. GIve it another 11 minutes.

You guys obviously forgot that a lot of the PotD's go beyond 3am (EST). Having it before 2am (EST) is very lucky.
 
I just wait until someone posts it here or I see it on reddit.

I didn't even know there was a certain timeframe for these pictures other than once a weekday.
 
Wouldn't it be ungodly amazing if instead of a PoTD Sakurai just uploads a newcomer video and links to it?

Well, as much as I would love that, I rather be warned about it because then I would be able to prepared to react, and know that everyone else was aware of what happened.

Obviously the newcomer vids will only happen after at least 24 hour of being alerted, whether directly stating it, a direct, or other means.

The past week or so we have been getting REALLY early ones, and apparently people seem to think about the normal.

I would say the normal time is from 2:30am-3:00am (EST).

True, but it would (slightly) satiate my constant whining for a Direct. Also, we're officially into late PoTD territory. Smash Run info incoming.

Also, sorry to keep posting and getting everyone's hopes up for the PoTD when they see this board has a new post. :boshi:
 
Sakurai is sleeping in Namco HQ probably and will upload the potd as soon as he wakes up.

Which is in approx. 10 hours.
 
I can feel a Direct. It's coming. POTD is so late, I know it's coming.

Pic of the day. The 3DS version has an excellent Sounds collection! The design looks nice for a sound test screen, doesn't it? The font color for the "Remix" text on remixed songs comes in pink or white. The pink ones are songs arranged for this version of Super Smash Bros., while the white ones are remixes made in earlier Smash Bros. games. This means there are reoccuring songs from past releases.

Choose your songs and play with features on the bottom screen. You can listen to character voices, too. One of the new highlights for this feature is the "Play in Sleep Mode" option in the upper right. If you turn this on, you can listen to the tracks with your headphones even when your Nintendo 3DS is closed. The L and R Buttons will let you skip tracks. This means you can use it as a portable music player. Enjoy listening to the tracks you love by putting all songs in loop, shuffle, or selecting your favorite tracks!!

In Smash Run, the background music plays randomly from the songs you select from the track list. This means you can customize your own song lineup!! Hmm, neat feature (Hopefully CDs don't return, they were painfully annoying to collect). No wonder it took so long to update, I wonder if we'll get music updates in later POTDs?

I don't expect a musical philistine such as Gamefreak to appreciate this incredible picture of the day, but I for one think the reveal of what is basically a free iPod feature is great.

Same, I was really hoping there'd be something like this in the 3DS version, amazing how it actually happened.
 
Sheesh I hope they at least have some Nobuo Uematsu on the Wii U version.

It's not entirely impossible, he did the Brawl theme after all.
